Julia Fox on ‘sick and twisted’ way Kanye West controlled what she wore

Julia Fox, Kylie West’s ex, has revealed how the rapper controlled what she wore while they were dating, even asking her to get a boob job.

Ye, 47, is currently married to Bianca Censori, despite rumours that the couple were divorcing back in November. He married Australian model Bianca, 30, in December 2022, with the pair being surrounded by controversy over Bianca’s ultra-revealing outfits.

Just a few months after Kanye’s divorce from Kim Kardashian was finalized, they met and tied the knot. But earlier that year, he was also linked to Italian-American actress Julia Fox, 34.

In her memoir, Down the Drain, Julia recalled her relationship with Kanye, which lasted less than two months. But despite being short-lived, the romance left an imprint on Julia, who has written about his “weird, twisted game”, saying she felt “used” and “dirty”.

Julia said she thought it was a “publicity stunt” that left her feeling like a “prop” during the time she spent with Kanye. Two of Julia’s closest friends were set up by Kanye and he agreed to be her stylists within days of meeting, and they agreed on what their new girlfriend should wear in public.

When he offered to get Julia a boob job during one particularly memorable conversation, Kanye had dressed her in a skimpy top but felt it wasn’t appropriate. Mother to a four-year-old son, Julia later wrote: “The artist’s words cut through the air, sharp and unexpected. I look at myself in the mirror, taking in my post-baby body. They’re not so bad, I think to myself”.

She claims that Kanye, who controls all aspects of her public image, no longer had any control over her life. She remarked, “I watch as my life shrinks to fit in cardboard boxes.” My small space won’t fit the new clothes he gave me.

She continued, “Grab” and kiss her when he said he would only speak to her when she was in front of the camera. She received texts and calls from the artist urging her to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) after their tense relationship ended. Julia declined his requests, and was told they couldn’t be friends if she didn’t sign it, to which Julia says she responded by saying: “I’ll live”.

Julia claimed in an interview with The Times’ Weekend Magazine that Kanye and Kanye broke up with her without consulting her and that she has always regretted getting involved with the rapper. Julia told the paper: “I regret that relationship so much. I hate it! Although it only took a few weeks, I had enough to live forever. I was probably in my life’s most uncomfortable position, which is a powerful statement. I don’t want to be known for being anyone’s girlfriend”.

The actress and model continued: “It wasn’t my idea for it to go public. If anything, I was like, ‘ We should wait, ‘ and then boom, it was done behind my back. I quickly realized I was being a pawn.
