Joshua Jackson’s home has been obliterated in the Los Angeles wildfires, it has been reported.
The ‘ Dawson’s Creek ‘ star purchased his childhood home back in 2001, but the property, located in the Topanga Canyon neighbourhood, was consumed by flames, leaving only the swimming pool intact, according to TMZ. Joshua is one of the thousands of people who lost their homes in the fires, which also scorched the hillside nearby.
He said in a statement: “First and most importantly, all the people closest to me affected by the fire are ok. My daughter, my family, my neighbors all made it out safely. Sadly, the fires did not stop at my gorgeous home. However, I feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by my loving ones today.
Paris Hilton, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag, Leighton Meester and Adam Brody, Billy Crystal, and Mel Gibson are also among those who have lost their properties. The 46-year-old actor was born in Vancouver but lived in Topanga until he was eight when he moved back to Canada after his parents split up, where he shares a four-year-old daughter Juno with estranged wife Jodie Turner-Smith.

The “Dr. Death” star previously described how healing it was to purchase his childhood home and live there as an adult, especially since his old bedroom had remained the same. He previously stated to Mr. Porter magazine that while my father, sadly, was not a good person to live in, my exit from that house in Topanga was very healing.
” There was a mural of a dragon on the wall in]my old] room that I couldn’t believe was still there, years later. The owner]who sold him the house] said, ‘ I knew it meant a lot to somebody and that they were going to come back for it some day. ‘ “
Joshua also revealed that his life has been completely transformed by being a father. He said:” It’s 100 per cent changed how I approach my work and my life. This has been incredibly clear to me this year. “He added:” For me to feel good about what I’m doing day to day, my family has to be the central focus. “
In recent days, hundreds of people have been forced to leave their homes behind in mass evacuations, and over a 1000 structures and buildings have been completely destroyed, according to Paris Hilton, with some claiming to have already lost their lives in blazes that looked like “hell” on earth. Additionally, Anna Farris, Anthony Hopkins, and Jhene Aiko lost homes.
