Jessica Nelson’s perspective on motherhood has changed, as she is currently looking forward to having her first child.
The 33-year-old former Little Mix star announced to her fans that she was pregnant, and allegedly having twins on Sunday. The Secret Love Song singer shared a photo of herself with her growing baby bump and boyfriend, a 25-year-old musician, on Instagram on Sunday.
Fans were thrilled that she appeared to be expecting twins when she shared the photo along with a caption reading, “She’s eating for three now.” More than three years after she remarked that she didn’t see motherhood in her future, she is pleased to hear her happiness.
Jesy, who found fame via The X Factor in 2011, shocked fans when she quit Little Mix in December 2020 – ditching her co-stars Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall to pursue a solo career. In a number of interviews the following year, she defended her solo endeavors.
And she revealed to Glamour magazine that she was unsure if she would pursue parenting in the future after talking about it during a conversation. She told the magazine: “It’s just not in me. I think as a woman,]motherhood is] either in you or it isn’t”.
She said: “You either have that maternal feeling or you don’t, and I’ve never had that feeling. I believe that women should pursue their passions. She also revealed that she had not yet met the children of Leigh-Anne and Perrie because both Little Mix singers had started their families in 2021.
When asked if she’s met their children yet, Jesy told the outley: “No. I’ve sent a few texts, but that’s it. I can’t explain it, it’s like there has to be this distance”. The actress has just announced that she is expecting with her younger boyfriend, which has thrilled fans.
Since they have been dating since November 2022, Jesy and Zion have their futures firmly woven together as they prepare to welcome their children. Fans were enthralled to see Jesy’s baby announcement post, which featured her exuberant face.
One fan wrote: “Ah baby girl I’m so happy for you, what a wonderful mom your going to be”. Another typed: “The smile i have on my face right now… I’m so happy for you. you deserve the world. congratulations on a beautiful girl.
And a further fan wrote: “So so so happy for u. Dreams do come true”. Jesy’s announcement’s wording, which she picked up on from her statement that she is eating for three, piqued the attention of some viewers.
One wrote: “Does this mean twins? Eating for 3??”? While another typed: “Yes! Looks like it for sure”. And another laughed: “why would she be eating for him lol”.
