As they prepare to become parents, former Little Mix star Jesy Nelson and partner Zion are “ticking off baby milestones” in a hospital room.

Pregnant singer Jesy Nelson is now on complete bed rest and hopes to give birth to her “brave twins” in May after a difficult pregnancy.

The former Little Mix star and boyfriend Zion Foster have been staying in hospital for the last six weeks after previously revealing the babies had Twin-to-Twin Transfusion syndrome which means they are both feeding from one placenta. Partner Zion revealed emotional Jesy, 33, is “ticking off milestones every week” until they can become proud parents.

As he prepared to run the London Marathon on Sunday, he said of the unborn twins, “They’re just giving us so much hope they’re going to come out healthy and spend the least amount of time in the neonatal unit as possible.” Jesy and the twins have endured a lot, and we are so appreciative. We frequently doubted that we would get to where we are now during this pregnancy.

Jesy and Zion announced her twin pregnancy in January to fans on social media. They have been keeping them updated along the way including when Jesy needed emergency surgery to resolve the TTTS issues.

Zion, 26, said, “The operation was undoubtedly the most difficult time. However, now that we’ve overcome that, each day is only one more productive, allowing for more growth, which only brings joy. To ensure that they can emerge as healthy as possible, we simply want them to keep growing.

I believe we’ve a little bit of a storm over here. She’s still premature, to be honest, look at her. The reality is that we still need them to stay in. But where we’ve arrived, we’re just so appreciative. We simply keep ticking off day by day, hoping to let them go as long as possible.

Zion’s first interview with the couple since Jesy became pregnant is his attempt to raise money for the Twins Trust, a charity that helps families who need financial and educational support for twins.

Jesy is currently seven months pregnant, but she has shared information on social media about concerns raised by the arrival of the twins.

Because of what Jess has gone through, Zion said, “I wanted to run specifically for the Twins Trust.” We now have a term for TTTS because of the complications.

“The twins’ overall body doesn’t have an equal share of nutrients and blood flow. Thus, one twin will either end up receiving too much or too little.

You just don’t know what comes with having twins, I guess when we found out. “Oh my God, you’ve got twins,” everyone just says, “Oh, you’ve got twins.” Congratulations, that’s amazing. However, it can actually cause a lot of problems.

“It can be a difficult time during pregnancy, not just for the mother but also for the father.” simply because there is so much uncertainty.
