Jennifer Lopez, the singer and actress, has had all of her upcoming media appearances canceled due to the devastating fires in Los Angeles.

Jennifer had planned to promote her upcoming film, Unstoppable, which will be available on Prime Video on January 16 but she has since canceled all of her chat shows and promotional appearances so she can concentrate on serving the LA community. The premiere of the movie, which was due to be held at Hollywood’s famous TCL Chinese Theatre on Tuesday, was also cancelled.

In this extremely difficult time, it is important to her to concentrate on helping the Los Angeles community,” a source told People. In order to promote her new movie, which was co-produced by her ex-husband, Ben Affleck, Jennifer had been scheduled to appear on shows like the Today Show, The View, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and Live With Kelly and Mark.

Unstoppable is a drama that follows the true story of wrestler Anthony Robles, who was born without a leg and dissuaded doubts by winning the match. Anthony is played by Jharrel Jerome, while Jennifer plays Anthony’s single mother Judy. Bobby Cannavale from Boardwalk Empire and Don Cheadle from Avengers are also in the film.

Jennifer shared “resources to help those impacted by the Los Angeles fires,” including details of shelter locations and animal care, earlier this week on Insta Stories for people affected by the fires. The actress has reportedly had to leave her Pacific Palisades home in order to stay in touch with her former husband, who has reportedly had to have his. Jennifer, 55, “has been checking in on Ben throughout this whole ordeal” and “let him know she’s there for him and the kids”, the source said, referring to Ben’s three children Violet, Seraphina and Samuel, whom he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

In areas like Malibu and Pacific Palisades, the Los Angeles fires have destroyed thousands of homes. The stars who have had their homes destroyed include Mel Gibson, Anthony Hopkins, and Paris Hilton. Since then, Paris Hilton has established an emergency fund to help the families that have lost to the fires with a $82,000 initial personal donation.

She said: “While I’ve lost my Malibu home, my thoughts are with the countless families who have lost so much more – their homes, cherished keepsakes, the communities they loved, and their sense of stability. I’m starting an emergency fund through my nonprofit 11: 11 Media Impact to help displaced families with young children because I can’t imagine the pain and fear of not having a safe place for your babies.

There are now evacuation alerts for areas that affect more than 100, 000 residents, while more than 40, 000 students at the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA) have been asked to be ready to evacuate if necessary. The University told the students: “This is NOT an evacuation alert. Due to the Palisades fire, a zone close to UCLA has received an evacuation warning. Should the campus-wide alert be extended to our campus, we are asking the Bruins to stay alert and be ready to evacuate.
