Jean-Claude Van Damme ‘looking to buy property on the Gold Coast’ as the action star prepares for Down Under move
He’s known as ‘The Muscles from Brussels’.
But Jean-Claude Van Damme is looking to move Down Under, with the 60-year-old action star investigating property on the Gold Coast, according to realestate.com.au.
Gold Coast real estate agent Alex Fleri told the website that the Universal Soldier star is looking to buy a beachfront townhouse in the tourist hotspot.
Fleri, a former stuntman, also told the outlet that Van Damme is ‘looking to do a movie here in Australia’ later this year.
The Kickboxer star will next be seen on screens in the Netflix film The Last Mercenary, before voicing the character ‘Jean Clawed’ in Minions sequel The Rise of Gru.
If Van Damme does relocate the Gold Coast, he will become just the latest Hollywood star adopting the Sunshine State.
Julia Roberts, George Clooney and Rachel Griffiths are among a raft of stars flocking to Queensland for work amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Roberts and Clooney will star in Universal Pictures’ Ticket to Paradise as a divorced couple who travel to Bali to attend their daughter’s wedding.
As well as Ticket to Paradise, Baz Luhrman’s upcoming Elvis biopic and Kat McKinnon’s Tiger King TV series will also be shot in the state.
