The 55-year-old rapper and Sean “Diddy” Combs are named in a lawsuit filed on September 7, 2000, alleging that they both participated in the alleged attack at an MTV VMAs after-party in New York.

An unnamed celebrity allegedly attended the occasion as well. Initially filed against Combs in October, the lawsuit was recently amended to include Jay-Z as a defendant. Beyoncé’s upcoming projects, including her highly anticipated Christmas Day performance at the NFL game between the Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens, may be concerned about the allegations.
