For the first time since Wynne Evans’ sexual comments were made public, Janette Manrara’s husband Aljaz Skorjanec backed her.

The wife and their daughter Lyra, both dancers, were seen having lunch with the Strictly It Takes Two host. They are currently touring the UK as part of Strictly Come Dancing Live. Just as Evans’ remarks were made, Jane and I shared a sweet photo of our lunch.

The GoCompare advert star made an appearance at the Strictly cast photocall at the start of the tour in Birmingham. Evans stood alongside fellow celebrities JB Gill, Tasha Ghouri, Montell Douglas, Shayne Ward and Jamie Borthwick. The Strictly professional dancers also joined them for a photo and gathered them together.

When Janette walked over to the group, Evans was caught making an inappropriate sexual remark. He sang out: “Go Compare”, before adding: “Not too close to Jamie”. Then, in reference to a lewd sexual act, he made the incredibly offensive term “spit roast.” In a statement, Evans told the Mirror: “My language was inappropriate and unacceptable, for which I sincerely apologise”.

Janette posted sweet images of Aljaz holding their two-year-old daughter Lyra on Instagram shortly after his comment was made public. Before dancing with Amy Dowden and Nancy Xu, she giggled away in her father’s arms. Amy also took a selfie with Lyra and quipped: “She’s saying who’s this mad Welsh woman”. In photos shared by the Daily Mail, Janette was seen exiting the host wearing a black and white jumper and bobble hat.

Evans and dance partner Katya had an “inside joke” with him and he appeared to move it closer to her stomach a few weeks ago, but he was hit with resentment. As the pair sat side by side, Katya made an apparent brush away from his hand. Evans had also found himself at the centre of drama after a “vulgar” joke he reportedly made behind-the-scenes was “leaked”.

The singer claimed that after getting his make-up done backstage, his double chin resembled a vagina. A BBC Studios spokesman responded to Evans’ most recent offensive comment by saying, “We were not previously aware of the remark and did not receive any complaints. We have made it very clear to Wynne that we will not tolerate such conduct on the tour. Due to an ankle problem, Evans recently rescheduled his Strictly tour appearance in Glasgow.

In a photo with the scandal-hit star, Evans appears to have Katya’s backing despite the most recent controversy. She re-shared a post, orginally posted by Love Island’s Tasha Ghouri as she, Tasha, Wynne and Jamie Borthwick sat in a bar, relaxing. Captioning her re-share, Katya penned: “Tour fam”, along with a red-heart emoji.

It’s not the first time Katya has come to Evans ‘ defence. Although the pair insisted it was a “silly inside joke,” many fans were upset about his apparent “grope.” Some, however, failed to buy the apology and explanation and called the singer’s actions inappropriate. It caused Katya and Wynne to redouble their efforts to stop the backlash, which also resulted in their cancellation of the spin-off series It Takes Two.

Katya said: “Sorry Fleur]East], sorry, I will get onto dancing I promise but can I please first get something out of the way that I feel like overshadowed our performance for absolutely no reason and quite frankly, actually, I can’t bare sitting here watching this man]Wynne] being portrayed as someone he’s not.

It’s impossible to tell the difference between this incident with the hand and the high five on Saturday night because it was an inside joke between Wynne and I. Was it a silly joke? Yes! Was it a bad joke? Yes! “Wynne interjected:” Yeah and I’ve watched it back, I can see how people may have misinterpreted it. “

Katya added:” Yeah but however, it was a joke and even the idea that it made me feel ‘ uncomfortable ‘ or ‘ offended ‘ in anyway is total nonsense. Those that have doubts, you guys have it got wrong! Thus, it’s likely that this will be the end. You]Wynne] just keep making me smile, please! “
