Jamie O’Hara proposed to Keziah Grubb while on an idyllic holiday, and an expert says that his ring of choice could only have sealed the deal with a diamond worth thousands
Jamie O’Hara revealed that he got engaged yesterday and it seems he didn’t hold back on the ring. The star proposed to new fiancée Keziah Grubb while on a romantic getaway, and their private pool wasn’t the only thing making a splash.
The former footballer shared several photos of the milestone moment on his Instagram, including two close-up shots of Keziah’s sparkling engagement ring. The ring shone on recruitment boss Keziah’s hand, featuring an unbelievably huge diamond set on a thin band encrusted with smaller stones. Maxwell Stone, an expert from jewellers Steven Stone, has weighed in on the gorgeous piece of bling and revealed to the Mirror exactly what went into making it – alongside estimating its jaw-dropping price.
According to the expert, the size of Keziah’s diamond is nothing to laugh at. “Keziah’s stunning engagement ring from Jamie features a breathtaking 4-carat oval-cut diamond”, he said.
Maxwell added: “In photos of the ring, the centre diamond is flanked by smaller oval-cut stones on either side, suggesting it may have diamond-set shoulders. Alternatively, rather than opting for a traditional pavé band, Jamie may have chosen an elegant design featuring a series of interlinked oval-cut diamonds”.
Such a heavy diamond and several smaller glittering stones don’t come cheap, and Maxwell also estimated the value of the stunning jewellery. “I’d estimate Keziah’s ring to be worth around £200, 000”, he revealed.
While £200,000 is quite an investment to make on a piece of jewellery, former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie looked over the moon as Keziah said ‘yes’ and put the ring on her finger.
The duo were on holiday when he popped the question, providing a beautiful setting for the life-changing moment. In photos Jamie shared, he and Keziah were captured standing on a balcony overlooking a gorgeous sunset, with mountains visible over the rooftops in the background.
Jamie wore a white top and beige chinos, while Keziah showed off her tan in a chic white skirt as the couple shared a kiss. He added more snaps from the balcony, revealing a small private pool, candles, and more glasses sitting beside a bottle of champagne.
The TalkSport star also penned a moving caption alongside the shots, mentioning his beloved mother Anne who died from cancer aged just 46 when Jamie was only 17.
“SHE SAID YES!!!! So lucky to have found you and my mum would be so proud of us”, he wrote alongside a heart emoji. “@keziah_adrienne you are my everything”.
Prior to his engagement to Keziah, Jamie was married to former Miss England star Danielle Lloyd. The duo share sons Archie, 14, Harry, 13, and George, 11, and tied the knot in 2012.
Just a couple of years after getting married Danielle called time on the relationship, after learning that Jamie had been unfaithful to her.
