James Haskell has admitted to feeling better about his ex-wife Chloe Madeley and that he still has feelings for her.
The former England Rugby player and fitness influencer, who is the daughter of Judy Finnigan and Richard Madeley, wed Bodhi in 2018, and they have two children. The pair continue to support co-parenting despite their split in October 2023, which came after a reality TV show about their family was being filmed.
Chloe has openly described their separation as “one of the worst times of my life,” describing their final year as “one of the worst periods of my life.” She believes they would be better apart, but James has expressed gratitude for her positive influence on him.
On the Spooning with Mark Wogan podcast, James shared heartfelt thoughts: “Chloe is an amazing woman, extremely talented, she’s made me a much better person, being with her, now we’re separated. You split primarily because you want to ensure that your daughter’s life is the best it can be.
He continued to stress the importance of their daughter’s ability to work together as parents and how important it is that all of their other desires are ignored. The ability for us to co-parent and do stuff is so important, Chloe is more vocal because she wears her heart on her sleeve”, reports Wales Online.
James also questioned whether social media is more reliable than traditional media, saying, “I’m a little more reserved because I think she’s amazing. With social media nothing dies, when we were younger they say today’s newspaper is tomorrow’s s*** paper but not anymore”.
Bohdi will eventually contact James about their separation after he admitted to holding a “love” for the mother of his child. His planned response?
“I still love Chloe, you know we love you, and this is what happened”.
Despite the couple’s remaining neutral about the specific reason for their breakup, rumors suggest James’ strenuous DJ life may have contributed. Gossip mills started churning after James’ sightings at parties led to his mingling with other women.
When Chloe confronted James about his social media posts, which included images of other women’s backsides, tensions started to flare in an episode titled “Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair.” Chloe, who was unimpressed, called out in her support and said it was disrespectful, especially “when everyone knows I’m your wife.”
Chloe also revealed that James “thrives in chaos.” She reflected on the couple’s time together, deducing that both were “unhappy”.
