Troubled Love Island winner Jack Fincham is due to appear in court again today. This time, he is set to appeal his six week jail sentence after he plead guilty to two counts of being in charge of a dangerously out of control dog.

Jack, 33, was initially jailed after entering his guilty plea. But, he was soon freed from prison, later being spotted with his girlfriend Chloe Brockett, after he launched an appeal against his sentence. Jack, who has recently shared his addiction hell, is due to appear at Basildon Crown Court today to appeal the sentence.

The reality TV star’s cane corso dog was involved in two violent incidents. His dog Elvis bit a runner in Kent in September 2022, and attacked a woman in Essex in June last year. The first instance happened with a man, Robert Sudell, who accepted an apology from Jack. When Jack’s dog was deemed “out of control” in a second incident, the courts decided that a responsible dog ownership course wasn’t enough.

Unfortunately, this isn’t Jack’s only brush with the law. His trouble seemed to start back in 2019, when he admitted to going on a ‘cocaine binge’ while still in a relationship with his ITV girlfriend Dani Dyer. While Jack said that he’d made a “terrible error” and wouldn’t take the drug again, it went on to become a recurring theme in some of his legal and personal issues.

In July 2021, Jack was questioned by police after he was spotted acting suspiciously in a car park in South London in the early hours of the morning. After concerned onlookers called the cops, they decided that no crime had been committed and called family to pick him up and take him back home to Kent.

Just a couple of days later, however, he appeared in court where he denied two charges of driving under the influence of drugs during an earlier incident. He had been stopped by police while driving his £30,000 Mercedes near his home in Swanley, Kent, in January 2020.

The TV star was alleged to have had 239 micrograms of benzoylecgonine – a by-product of cocaine – in his blood when police pulled him over, alongside 632 micrograms of diazepam – more commonly known as Valium. The boxer was initially released on bail after his denial, with his next hearing set for the December. Jack’s lawyers alleged that the drug test may have been a ‘false positive,’ and the Crown Prosecution Service ultimately decided to drop the charges against him.

A similar event occurred again in 2023, when stopped by police on the A2 near his home while travelling at high speed. Jack was given a blood test, and a spokesperson for Kent Police told the Mirror at the time: “On Saturday 26 August 2023, officers arrested a 31-year-old man from Swanley on suspicion of drug driving, careless driving, driving without insurance and driving while displaying false number plates, on the A2 near Dartford. He has since been bailed until 26 November 2023.”

The star ended up with a 36-month driving ban, and was ordered to complete 60 hours of unpaid community work to be completed within 12 months. The Magistrates learned that he had 18 microgrammes of cocaine per litre of blood in his system and 800 microgrammes of benzoylecgonine per litre of blood in his system. The legal limits are 10 and 50.

The court also heard that Jack had been handed a previous ban on drunk driving within the last 10 years. Because of that, they had to give him at least a three-year disqualification as it was his second conviction within that time.

Jack was arrested again for driving under the influence of drugs in March 2024. He was given a 12 weeks sentence, which was suspended for 18 months. The former reality star is now banned from driving until October 2029 and was ordered to complete 250 hours of unpaid work.

Jack confessed during a police interview that he was taking cocaine five days a week at the time. The star also confessed to paying a pal £100 to make him false number plates for a car similar to his which had insurance.
