Jack Fincham launched vicious rant at police before being jailed over dog attack
After serving a six-week sentence for his cane corso dog bit a runner in 2022 and attacking a woman in 2024, Love Island winner Jack Fincham was released on bail.
Former Love Island winner Jack Fincham reportedly launched a foul-mouthed rant at police before he was jailed over a dog attack.
The 32-year-old reality TV personality admitted to having control over a dangerously out-of-control dog and was given a six-week sentence. In September of this year, Elvis’ black cane corso dog attacked a woman in Essex in June of last year and bit a runner in Kent in September of that year. While filing an appeal, Fincham is currently awaiting bail while serving a six-week prison sentence.
Before his sentencing earlier this week, Fincham called the police “scumbags” and “jobsworth c***s” in a vicious online rant after the dangerous dog offences. In the now-deleted Instagram story from December 3, Fincham claimed the authorities wanted to jail him because his dog “scared someone”, adding: “So my best friend is gone in police kennels.”
Fincham then called out the overcrowding in prisons as he said: “This county is done. Work it out for f***s sake.” Then, under a photo of him and his cane corso dog Elvis, he wrote: “F* Essex Police, scumbags and jobsworth c*s. See you soon.”
In court earlier this week, Fincham admitted two counts of being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog, with one of the incidents causing injury. It comes after the Southend Magistrates’ Court admin office told the BBC that the reality TV star had been freed just hours later because he had appealed his sentence.
Following his release, Fincham has been spotted out and about in Essex with his girlfriend Chloe Brockett. Dressed in jeans, white trainers and a long black overcoat, Fincham held his girlfriend’s hand as they headed to a nearby Tesco. Fincham and the TOWIE star appeared to be in good spirits, with newly-freed Fincham leaning in to kiss Brockett at one point during their outing.
As well as the jail term, Jack was ordered to pay £3, 680 in total, including a £961 fine, and £200 compensation to the runner, Robert Sudell. After his representative Richard Cooper claimed his client had “no savings,” presiding magistrate Anne Wade authorised Fincham to pay the entire sum in instalments, starting at £400 per month.
Fincham was taken to the cells after receiving a sentence, but he later emerged from prison the following day. He will now have to make a Friday report to the Grays Police Station, and he will also have to go to Basildon Crown Court for a bail hearing.
Fincham shot to fame on Love Island’s fourth series in 2018. He won the show with then-girlfriend Dani Dyer, and they shared the £50,000 prize money. The pair went their separate ways six months after leaving the reality TV show.
