ITV Coronation Street star ‘to make shock return’ months after on-screen exit
Coronation Street viewers are said to be returning to Weatherfield after a while since leaving.
Matt Milburn, a former cast member, has appeared on the ITV soap Tommy Orpington numerous times. Before moving to Spain with Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford), the character was last seen in Weatherfield last year before her family learned about their relationship.
Matt, who is currently playing Tommy, is rumored to have filmed more scenes for Corrie, with his return expected to appear on the show in the coming weeks. However, those responsible for the show have yet to reveal his apparent reprisal of the role, which he first played in 2016.
Matt is set to reprise his role for a “short stint” later this year, according to the Sun. Matthew will return for a short while in the spring, according to a source, and then he’ll go once more. After ending his run in Panto over Christmas, the source continued, “He was back filming the first week of January.” Everyone was delighted to see him around the set, they said, according to the outlet’s statement.
After being hired to do some work at the home she shared with her husband Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and their family, Tracy, a well-known character, had an affair with decorator Tommy at the beginning of last year. Kate told the Mirror last year that Tracy had become “really bored” and “fed up” with her life before beginning the affair when she was talking about the plot at the time. She further teased: “I haven’t had a storyline as meaty as this for quite a long time”.
Although the pair initially agreed that nothing would ever happen again, their romantic relationship grew out of a kiss in her kitchen, which led to even closer intimacy. However, before Steve realized it, they had an affair for some time. Although she has since returned to Weatherfield without him in recent months, Tracy later made the decision to move abroad with Tommy.
Tommy had previously made an appearance, and Matt discussed developing a “substantial” storyline for the relationship while on Lorraine in February of last year. He said in the interview: “]I came in] for bits and bobs, sort of four or five episodes here and there, and then got the phone call for this stint and I was like ‘ at last, y’know, something substantial to get my teeth into'”.
