Israel launches air raids on power station, ports in Yemen

According to local media reports, Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes across Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen, killing at least one person and injuring several others.

Air strikes were carried out on Friday at the Ras Isa and Hodeidah ports in western Iran, as well as the Hezyaz Central Power Station near Sanaa and the Amran province’s Harf Sufyan district.

According to the report, six other people were hurt and one was killed at the Ras Isa port.

In 13 strikes at the Hezyay power plant, three people were hurt, and several homes were damaged, according to Al Masirah.

The Houthi terrorist regime’s central energy source, according to the Israeli army, was acknowledged by its strikes in a statement issued by the Israeli army.

The statement further referred to Houthi drone and missile attacks on Israeli ships and attacks on ships deemed to be allied with Israel as “the State of Israel has the right and obligation to defend itself.”

According to Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree, the Houthis fired three drones and missiles at Israel’s commercial hub Tel Aviv in recent days and more than three at the USS Harry S. Truman in the Red Sea.

Hussain al-Bukhaiti, a Yemeni political commentator, claimed it was “clear” that the Israeli military “does not have a clue where the Yemen military installations are.”

He vowed that the Houthis would continue to attack Israel, refuting rumors that they might launch “new types of hypersonic ballistic missiles” to attack “legitimate targets” like “their power station and airport.”

The Houthis’ repeated attacks on their own country were being punished, according to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“As we promised, the Houthis are paying, and they will continue to pay, a heavy price for their aggression against us”, he said, pledging not to tolerate attacks against Israel.

Israel Katz, the country’s defense minister, declared that it would “hunt down” Houthi leaders.
