Inside pregnant Kelsey Parker’s life with boyfriend Will – after tragic Wanted singer Tom ‘gave blessing’
Will Lindsay, the couple’s boyfriend, would never want her to “not talk about him,” and pregnant Kelsey Parker claims her late husband Tom is still a significant part of their life. Kelsey and her new partner, 33, exclusively revealing that they are expecting their second child together, which will include Tom and Kelsey’s two children. She explains how the family never shy away from mentioning or posting pictures of Tom around their home.
The Wanted singer, who passed away of a brain tumour three years ago, lived in the house that Kelsey and Will, 27, now share for the eight months before his death, and the couple have made sure that his memory lives on, especially for the sake of Aurelia, now five, and Bodhi, four.
“Tom and I had a house before, which we had the kids and got married in”, Kelsey says. I believe Tom picked up my current home in September 2021 despite only having eight months there. Will gradually enter. He moved in when it felt right for everyone, even though there was no specific date. Right now, we don’t have any plans to move elsewhere and we’ve made this our home”.
There are little nods to Tom throughout their stunning home, including a large black-and-white frame photo of Bolton-born Tom, who was married to Kelsey from 2018 until his tragic death. There’s also a gold disc hanging on the wall, with a plaque which reads: “A celebration of Tom Parker and The Wanted. Presented to Kelsey Parker. 5, 000 Global Sales. Always Remembered”, in celebration of Tom’s success with his band.
Elsewhere on a shelf, there’s an adorable handmade “Best DAD ever – Hand’s Down” piece of art featuring two of Bodhi’s little handprints.
Kelsey has been incredibly open about having a new partner in her life, and she continues to be deeply philosophical about losing her first husband and raising a single mother at this age. “If I dwelled on everything that’s happened, I wouldn’t be here”, she shares. “Tom was my soulmate. I’m still angry he’s gone. But I can’t live in sadness. Tom wouldn’t want that”.
She’s been navigating telling Aurelia and Bodhi that there will be another child in their lives as well as sharing the news with Tom’s family with the arrival of the newest addition, which she admits was a very welcome “happy accident” due in June. “Tom’s mum Noreen gave me her blessing instantly. She can’t wait to have another grandchild”.
“It’s all I care about, and Tom’s family, is happy,” I said. The most amazing woman is Noreen. After Tom passed, she said to me, ‘ As long as you’re happy Kels, whatever you do, we will always support you and be happy for you. ‘ We’ve all been through so much together. However, I’m present to welcome a second child into the world.
Kelsey claims Tom is still a significant part of their relationship, not just their children, and that Will would never want them to stop talking about him. She told us, “Will once said he never wants me to not talk about Tom.” He enjoys hearing his stories and talks about him. There’s a massive picture of Tom upstairs. He walked past it once, smiled at me and went, ‘ Oh, he’s handsome though, isn’t he”?.
Will discusses how he came to terms with joining a lost family, and how he fully comprehends why it is crucial that Tom’s memory be kept alive. “Tom was a huge part of Kelsey’s life. “, he says. It’s typical to talk about him a lot because they were together for more than 13 years and had two beautiful kids. If we didn’t, I believe it would be strange.
There are plenty of cozy nooks and crannies for Kelsey and Will to enjoy their newborn snuggles, and their large, South East London home certainly has plenty of room for another child. And they can’t wait for them to start.
“I’m over the moon”, Will says. I’ve wanted this for a while, I tell myself. I’m relieved, and I’m confident that Kelsey will continue to be a fantastic mother like she is.
