In rural Wales, TV star Martin Clunes squares off against drug dealers in the film Out There.

Nathan Williams, a man who has owned a farm in Wales for generations and is caught up in a numbing cycle of work and loss as his wife Sabine passes away, is played by Martin Clunes in this film.

Farmers Nathan and Rhys (Gerran Howell), a friend and local drug dealer, are at odds with one another as they try to protect their farm and neighborhood from County Lines drug operations.

The entire box set of the new drama is available for streaming on ITVX on the same day, and it premieres on ITV 1 at 9 p.m. on Sunday (January 19).

After gaining success as Doctor Martin Ellingham in ITV’s Doc Martin, Gary Strang in Men Behaving Badly, and DCI Colin Sutton’s role in the ITV murder drama Manhunt, Clunes has since expanded his acting resume.

Martin Clunes and his wife, who also serves as a TV producer, live in a rural setting and also support various local charities and causes.

Martin, who previously hosted Buckham Fair to raise money for local charities, is well-known in West Dorset as a very approachable and kind man.

In 2021, he also made headlines by growing six acres of sunflowers in a field and selling them for Julia’s House Hospice. Martin Clunes expressed his hope that the charity’s fundraising events, which had been canceled as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, will raise the much-needed funds needed.

During an appearance on the One Show, he said: “All the fetes, dog shows and pony shows, they have all been cancelled and they’re big sources of income (for the charity). I used to think we had nothing but grass on our farm, so we had a fair there.

We never went into a field, so we decided it was worthwhile. This morning, I picked them up. I am just selling them locally in Bridport, Beaminster and Rampisham. “

The 63-year-old supports Weldmar Hospicecare Trust and is also a patron of Julia’s House, a Children’s Hospice in Dorset and Wiltshire.

The TV star recently lit the Christmas lights at a Bridport family home. Hundreds of residents gathered for the event, which was in aid of Julia’s House Children’s Hospice.

You can’t put “children and hospice” in the same sentence, but I’ve spent a lot of time there and it’s one of the nicest places I’ve been,” he said. The employees are exceptional, very special, and do a fantastic job.

“I think we have a special charity in our county, and I appreciate you coming to help them with their work because everyone else is currently in need of donations.” They are the lifeblood.

I’m going to turn the lights on right away, and I’m hoping you all have a very happy Christmas.

Phillippa Braithwaite, a producer on Doc Martin and Out There, is currently Martin Clunes’ spouse. Additionally, the couple co-starred in Manhunt, in which Clunes serves as the lead character and Braithwaite serves as the producer.

Additionally, they collaborated on the documentaries Martin Clunes: A Man and His Dogs and Martin Clunes: Islands of Australia as well as the comedy Staggered. The couple married in 1997 and have a daughter, Emily, who was born in 1999.

Emily Clunes is currently in her 20s and working in equestrian. In a previous episode of Doc Martin, she did a guest appearance alongside her father. In Doc Martin season four’s eighth episode, she only spoke briefly.

Clunes was married to actress Lucy Aston from 1990 to 1997 before getting married to his current wife. However, after the “final straw” was struck at a clash over dinner, the pair decided to call it quits just three years later.

Martin later claimed he and Lucy had mended their relationship enough to become” friends”, claiming:” We had a problem enjoying each other but now I can enjoy Lucy again. We are close friends and have mutual respect. “But in 2008 he called their marriage” rotten”.

He told the Mail’s Weekend magazine:” I don’t know if I was searching for anything. Maybe I was. I kind of found it without looking.

I was coming out of a bad marriage when I met Philippa, and I was very wary of getting back together.
