For The 1970s Diet, a TV experiment starring Jackie Gibson, she recently indulged in classic health advice, including boiled potatoes, liver, and spam. And her altered lifestyle couldn’t have been more indistinguishable from her customary glamorous lifestyle.

For The 1970s Diet, Josie Gibson recently turned to retro lore.

Following a shock health scare, This Morning star Josie Gibson returned to the 1970s, and her new routine is a far cry from her typical lavish lifestyle.

After being diagnosed with gout, the former Big Brother winner made a determined effort to improve her health, turning to vintage methods for her next TV challenge, The 1970s Diet.

Josie explained her diagnosis by explaining that “My toes keep hurting.” I assumed that elderly men would only get gout, but I’ve been living quite lavishly. I flew a lot of flights, drank a lot of champagne, ate a lot of rich food, and didn’t sleep much before filming this show. I eventually developed gout because of this.

The 40-year-old had switched from eating out at trendy restaurants to surviving on leftover 1970s dinner items like liver, boiled potatoes, and spam. I’ve moved from one extreme to the other, she continued. I went from living the life of my dreams to being completely restored.

The 40-year-old recently made an announcement about her diagnosis of gout.

South Gloucestershire-born Josie certainly enjoys the finer things in life, as evidenced by her glamour-filled Instagram account. The TV personality looked right at home fronting her recent Channel 5 show, Around The World In First Class, which saw her delve into the world of luxury travel.

Josie tried out a number of high-end travel experiences over the course of the show, which aired in February, including a stay at a £16, 000 hotel in Dubai and a stay on a private island in Sweden.

Mother-of-one Josie said, “When I got the call, I thought this cannot be real. I believed it to be a wind-up. I believe that I was only asked to say “yes” for a second.

I would never have been able to believe it in a million years if someone had told the younger me that this would one day be my life. It is more wonderful than I ever imagined. I’m jealous of myself, so I don’t even want to sugarcoat it.

Josie also took a floating breakfast in a private pool and flew first-class to an underwater sculpture park in Grenada. Josie explained what it was like to fly like a superstar and how it was “like a party in the air.” We were heading to Grenada. By the time we arrived, I was familiar with everyone in my First-Class lounge. The bar was open to us.

“We were having a whale of a time. I also experienced First Class with Qatar, and they won the award for best airline in the world. I don’t care what anybody says when you are rich, and you are in these first-class places you get treated like Taylor Swift. My biggest worry though is how am I ever going to go back to turning right now I’ve experienced all these things?”

Josie enjoys the more expensive aspects of life.

Josie is undoubtedly a person who enjoys the finer things in life, despite the fact that this trip was unusual for her. Josie has come a long way from her early caravan holidays, from stunning vacations in Venice to her signature Sundays at Mayfair’s Langan’s Brasserie restaurant.

Josie, who continues to live down to earth despite her now glam lifestyle, fondly recalls these early encounters in the days leading up to her travel show, said, “When we were younger, we didn’t really go on holidays. Since I’m the sixth child, Wen’s and Brean’s would have been our hosts. I’m still going there right now, I suppose. I continue to support.

“Our mother would put us in the backseat and drive the estate for ages, making it seem like we were going really far, but we were just being dropped off at this little field up the road by the quarry in Rangeworthy.” Although we would camp there, does it matter when you’re a child?
