Inside Jesy Nelson’s shock Little Mix exit and bandmate feud as she announces pregnancy

Four years after her dramatic departure from Little Mix, Jessica Nelson has adorably announced that she is expecting.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards, and Jade Thirlwall, the 33-year-old, first gained notoriety when they banded during the eighth season of The X Factor in 2011. During their time on the ITV show, Little Mix were mentored by N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos, and they triumphantly became the first-ever girl group to win.

They later had a huge following, including “Shout Out To My Ex,” “Wings,” “Black Magic,” and “Woman Like Me,” which quickly became one of the biggest girl bands in the UK. But ahead of their 10-year anniversary, Jesy announced she was quitting the band.

Little Mix Quitting

After almost ten years together, Jesy announced her retirement from the acclaimed band, citing that Little Mix had “taken a toll” on her mental health in December 2020. Sharing the news in a statement on Instagram, Jesy wrote: “To all my Mixers. My life has been the most amazing the past nine years with Little Mix.

” We have achieved things I never thought possible. From winning our first Brit Award to having sold-out O2 shows Making friends and fans all over the world I can’t thank you enough for making me feel like the luckiest girl in the world. You have always supported and encouraged me, and I will never forget that.

Jesy continued, “My mental health has really been affected by my recent involvement in the band. Being a girl group and living up to expectations are very difficult for me to deal with. I believe that there comes a point in life when we should reinvest in making other people happy, and I think this is the right time to do so. I need to do things that bring me joy while also spending time with the people I love. I’m prepared to start a new chapter in my life; I’m not sure what that will look like, but I sincerely hope you’ll continue to support me.

“I want to thank everyone who has contributed to our journey. All the dedication and effort put forth to achieve our success. I want to tell each and every fan who saw us at a concert, who listened to our songs, sang their hearts out, texted me, and supported me along the way that I love you all so dearly and that I never would have accomplished this without you. Most of all, I want to thank Jade, Perrie, and Leigh-Anne for making some of the most incredible memories I’ll never forget. I sincerely hope you will carry out all of your dreams and continue to produce music that people love. Love Jesy”.

After a remarkable nine years together, Jesy made the decision to leave Little Mix, according to the three remaining Little Mixers’ joint statement. We are all in complete support of Jesy at this very sad time for us all. We adore her dearly and think it’s crucial that she pursues her mental well-being and health. The three of us are still incredibly excited about our Little Mix journey, but we are not yet done.

Rumoured feud

Following Jesy’s departure from the band, there was a rumbling about a potential feud within Little Mix. Jesy’s inaction prevented Leigh-Anne and Perrie from revealing their pregnancy in public, which fueled rumors of rifts. As Jesy revealed in an interview with The Guardian that she had stopped speaking to Leigh-Anne, Perrie, and Jade, tensions appeared to end one month later, in August 2021.

When asked if she was in touch with the girls, Jesy explained:” No, not as much. Not now. We must all have some time, in my opinion. It’s a big thing that’s happened. I still love them to pieces. They were like my sisters. Jesy continued to pursue her musical passion by launching her own solo career with tracks like “Boyz,” “Bad Thing,” and “Boyz.”

When Jesy released the music video for her song “Boyz,” she was accused of Blackfishing, a term used to describe a white person who alters their appearance to make them appear black or mixed-race, things allegedly got heated. Later, influencer NoHun accused Leigh-Anne of slapping Jesy in leaked direct messages. NoHun had asked fans if he should perform a routine to Jesy’s debut solo track, and Leigh-Anne replied saying” no”.

Away from the reported rift, Jesy has now announced that she is pregnant, seemingly with twins, as she shared a snap on Instagram and told fans”, She’s eating for 3 now. Jesy rubbed her growing baby bump with a white sports bra and camouflage-patterned sweatpants in the snap. As they posed for photos, her partner Zion Foster was standing behind her.
