Inside Grace Jackson’s split from Marcus Rashford just weeks before Love Island All Stars
Manchester United star Marcus Rashford had reportedly been seeing Love Island star Grace Jackson over the last few months – with the couple splitting just weeks before her debut on All Stars.
Last night, Grace made a dramatic entrance into the Love Island: All Stars villa just as the episode ended. Grace, who was inundated with brand offers when she left the ITV reality dating show last summer, has built up a huge Instagram following and went on to sign an eyewatering six-figure deal with clothing brand EGO. She came sixth on the show, alongside Reuben Collins, and was also offered a deal with Pretty Little Thing.
But according to reports, she had been seen getting close to 27-year-old footballer Rashford. Grace, who is originally from Walkden in Greater Manchester, has been spotted on dates in Cheshire with the Wythenshawe native.
Rashford had previously been in a long-term relationship with Lucia Loi before they split last year. And it now seems as though the Red Devils academy graduate, whose future at Old Trafford is currently unclear, is back on the market. That’s according a new report from The Sun, with a source saying : “Grace realised that Marcus wasn’t serious about her and has unfollowed him on Instagram.
“She realised there was no future so she has decided to cut ties. ” The source went on to confirm Jackson would be competing in the upcoming Love Island All Stars series before adding: “As far as she is concerned it’s Marcus’ loss, she is putting her best foot forward and can’t wait to enjoy some winter sun in gloomy January. ”
Grace first entered the Love Island villa last year as a bombshell, who bulldozed her way into Joey Essex and Samantha Kenny’s coupling, leaving Sam out of the show. She went on to hook up with Joey, who later decided to call time on their rekindled romance in favour of new contestant Jessy Potts, who announced they’d split a month after Love Island.
Asked why she decided to come back, Grace said she wants to return because she is serious about finding love. She said: “I feel like at this time in my life I’m in a very settled place. I know who I am and I’m at the age where I’ve had enough of my single years. I’ve done everything I wanted to do in my single life and I’m looking to settle down and create a nice life with someone. What better place to do it than in the Villa? “
Reflecting on her time on Love Island last summer, Grace said she and Reuben still get on well. She said: “Reuben is one of the loveliest people I’ve ever met, there’s no bad blood at all, we’re just good friends and we still touch base from time to time. “
Speaking of the kind of man she hopes to match with this time, and admitting she has “got my eye on someone” already in the villa, Grace said: “I want someone that makes me laugh, who’s comfortable in themselves, someone that’s emotionally secure, motivated in life and someone that likes to travel and have fun. I want a best friend and a partner in one. “
