Jet, real name Diane Youdale, the wife of Glendoras, believed she had found “the one” in Zoe, but the couple have since split up, according to reports.
It’s been claimed that feel they “may have rushed” into things, but bear no “hard feelings” towards each other.
Not too long ago, the couple, who fell for each other after meeting at a supermarket, appeared to be deeply in love. As a neighbor claims Diane hasn’t been at the marital home in months, prison educator Zoe has since changed her Facebook status to “single.” Here, the Mirror takes a look at their short-lived romance…
An insider told MailOnline: “Diane and Zoe just realised it wasn’t to be. They decided to end their marriage because they saw no point in continuing.
” It’s sad, especially as they were only married for nearly 18 months, but they just weren’t getting on. On reflection, they may have rushed things off, but they don’t have any regrets or conflicts of interest.
Middlesborough-born Diane met Zoe in a Tesco car park just after the TV star had wrapped up a pilates class. Soon afterward, a fiery romance developed, and Diane realized she had a special connection to Zoe.
The Gladiator admitted she “just knew Zoe was the one,” as previously reported by the Mirror. Having always felt” relaxed “about her sexuality, she also didn’t feel the need to” keep it a secret”. Diane shared:” I don’t have any prejudices against males or females, but I’m definitely more comfortable with Zoe now. “
So certain was Diane, now 54, that she popped the question just four months into their relationship. She admitted:” The proposal was really boring, just in the kitchen over a glass of wine, you know, let’s do this. “
Boring or not, Zoe happily accepted, and, a little over a year after the besotted women first locked eyes, Diane proceeded to announce the happy news of their engagement. The ex-athlete stated on the Chillin’ with Ice podcast that “we’re going to get married more than a year ago” during a presentation on the show Chillin’ with Ice in the summer of 2023.
A wedding followed shortly afterwards, described as an intimate” secret “ceremony attended by just six of the couple’s closest friends and family members. Opening up about her special day with Closer at the time, a delighted Diane said:” We’re married! We kept it very, very quiet. Literally, nine people on the planet knew. Things just disappear when you’re in the public eye, whether it was for the last millennium or not, especially in today’s social media era.
“I’m in my 50s now, and we’re both very private people, and we thought, ‘ You know, let’s just keep this thing quiet’. Because we wanted to keep it so tiny, we didn’t even let our closest friends know.
Proving that showing emotion is no barrier to being strong, Diane added: “It was casual, I didn’t wear a dress. I wore a nice boho-type top, trousers and a beautiful pair of sandals. Zoe wore her chinos, brogues and a nice shirt with a waistcoat. She looked ever so smart. I cried a lot”.
Fans’ favorite Diane, who was a member of the original Gladiators cast, ended up quitting after four seasons because of a neck injury she suffered during a difficult situation.
The actor has since re-entered the field to pursue a career in pilates and psychotherapy, but he has continued to appear on television.
