Despite their poor form this season, Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou claims the team is stronger than it was when he took over.

Spurs’ last 10 Premier League games have resulted in the club’s ranking drop to 15th overall.

Important players like Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero, and Destiny Udogie have missed significant chunks of the season due to injuries, which have severely impacted Spurs’ campaign.

Given the number of muscle injuries sustained at the club this term, the Australian’s training methods and play are in question.

Asked why his second season in charge had been more difficult, Postecoglou said: “It’s just injuries.

” I mean you can walk outside and say, ‘ Jeez it’s really bright’, and say to yourself maybe it’s not the sun. But it is the sun, mate, we’ve just got injuries.

“I take every decision,” I say.

Antonio Conte left Celtic to become Tottenham manager in June 2023. Postecoglou succeeded Conte.

He claimed that “in every way,” the club has improved as a result of his changes since taking over.”

” My brief was to come in and change things, “he said”. I have done that, too.

“When the squad we have now is an exciting squad, I believe the club will benefit, not just this year but for a long time,” said the former coach.

“We have some outstanding individuals who have joined the club in every way that I believe will make a positive impact on the club going forward.” I firmly believe that.

“Now, the only thing that most people want to look at is where we are right now with regard to our performances, particularly in the league,” said one source. However, from the perspective of someone who entered a club that bothered and needed change, I have no doubt that we are in a much better position for what the club needs for success.

Tottenham’s first season in charge saw him lose to Champions League football by two points to finish fifth in the Premier League.

Hoffenheim defeated 3-2 on Thursday night to move into sixth place in the Europa League.
