I’m A Celebrity SPOILER: Blindfolded Chris Moyles lowers Owen Warner into water tank during nail-biting Bushtucker Trial
Chris Moyles got more than he bargained for on Thursday’s episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! as he teamed up with Owen Warner for the Bushtucker Trial.
The radio presenter, 48, was blindfolded while Hollyoaks actor Owen, 23, was attached to a large yellow craine for The Savage Sorting Office.
Chris was tasked with following Owen’s verbal directions to lower him into a tank filled with water where several bags filled with stars were placed.
Swimming around the bags were mud crabs and eels, with Owen having to direct Chris throughout the task.
In a clip from the show, co-host Declan Donnelly told the pair: ‘Your first 90 seconds for your first cart starts now.’
Owen was then seen directing Chris, saying: ‘Right, go right bro. Lower me down a little bit.’
As Chris began to lower Owen towards the tank, the actor shouted: ‘Stop, stop stop!’ as he was almost plunged into the water.
Sounding exhausted, Chris said: ‘Oh my God, this is heavy.’
The trial comes after Babatúndé Aléshé became the fifth star to be eliminated from the reality show on Wednesday.
After conquering his fear of heights earlier in the series, the comedian bid farewell to the camp after ending up in the bottom two with Seann Walsh.
As he took his seat in the treehouse for his interview, Babatúndé was so excited to have left the camp that he spilled his glass of champagne.
Following his exit, Babatunde told hosts Ant and Dec that he was thrilled to be out of the camp after two and a half weeks.
He said: ‘It’s been crazy to see it because living in it is a whole new expereince. Spending two and a bit weeks in there is hardcore. All we do is talk about food.’
After struggling with his first challenge of the series, Walk The Plank, Babatunde admitted he feared for his future in the jungle after pulling out of the trial.
He said: ‘I thought it was going to be a trainwreck, I’ve been dreading each and every trial.’
However Babatunde eventually overcame his fear of heights to earn 11 stars in the first trial, and even faced his phobia of toads.
He told Ant and Dec: ‘I feel like I’m more scared of toads now than I was. I knew it was going to come, I thought if I made it far I’d have to lie in a box with a bunch of toads, when they came in I thought ”you guys are evil!”
As he bid farewell to his campmates, Babatunde said: ‘You guys have made me feel brave. I’ve conquered two of my biggest fears, which is frogs.
‘I know it’s hilarious but I hate those little demons, and heights.
‘And every single last one of you, I’m going to, you know, cherish for the rest of my life. This has been the best experience I’ve ever had. Thank you to everybody.’
