Adam Imam Yusuf, the deputy commander of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) in Kogi State, has been detained for allegedly diverting more than $3 billion.
The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) officials detained Yusuf.
Without specifying when he was taken, the ICPC made this disclosure in a statement posted on its website.
“Yusuf, who was at large until now, was taken into custody from his Gwagwalada, Abuja residence and is set to face prosecution”, the statement read.

The agency noted that its investigation” traced these funds to Lahab Integrated, Gate Coast Properties, and other affiliated companies, leading to the acquisition of over 18 properties, including filling stations. “
The government has so far been granted four of the properties, and legal proceedings are ongoing over the remaining assets.
