I won’t Hesitate To Honour Super Eagles Call Up, Says Brown Ideye
Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) winner, Brown Ideye, says he will jump on the opportunity to play for the Super Eagles again.
The Super Eagles’ side that won Nigeria’s third AFCON title in South Africa in 2013 had a key player in the striker role.
But since the 2013 AFCON triumph, Ideye has struggled to earn a call up to the national team.
A 2-1 win against Zambia in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers in 2016 was Ideye’s last game for Nigeria.

Ideye, 36, and Enyimba, a 9-time CAF champion and champion league player, recently returned to the national team after 8 years.
Ideye made it clear that he hasn’t yet left the national team during a statement on Channels Television’s Sports Tonight on Tuesday.
Ideye responded, “For sure, I will jump on it because I’m not retired from international football yet,” when asked what his plan would be. So why not? If I get called up to represent my country, I’m going to honour the invite, for sure”, he said.
Ideye is the third Super Eagles player to play in the NPFL this year.
Ideye , who previously played for Kano Pillars in the league, joins former international teammates Ahmed Musa and Abdullahi Shehu.
He spent years playing for Neuchâtel Xamax, Sochaux, and Dynamo Kyiv before making his domestic league debut 17 years ago.
