I’m on a mission to make exercising as enjoyable as possible this year because my January fitness goals are still fresh in my head. I’ve decided to see what pieces of fitness equipment I can use at home to improve my health, strength, and fitness rather than working out in the gym or forcing myself to attend classes I don’t want to go to.
With my flat’s limited space, I’m trying to find things that won’t take up too much room at home, but will also significantly improve how much I enjoy working out. I wanted to test the GoBalance Sport board because it offered a fun and varied way of working out, so I did.

I tried this at-home shoulder massager, and now I’m never in need of a pricey spa day again.
What is the GoBalance Sport?
Simply put, it’s a balance board with electronic capabilities. You use it as a regular one, standing on it, and attempting to maintain your balance and posture, but with the added bonus of a connected app and a built-in bluetooth chip.
There’s only two bits of equipment, the board, and an inflatable disc that it rests on. For exercises that require leaning on it, the GoBalance Sport set comes with a comfort mat and a pump to fill or release the air inside. This allows for minimal space to be neatly tucked into a closet, bed, or sofa.
The interactive app offers everything from workouts to games you can play while using it, and it has a 3D sensor that tracks your movement. The 12 free games on the GoBalance Sport include everything from snowboarding to puzzles, and they also include core exercises like glute bridges and planks.
Who is it suitable for?
Even my 70-year-old father had a go and was a fan of the GoBalance Sport, which is suitable for all ages. You can change the amount of air pressure in the inflatable section to suit your abilities, which is simple to do.
Our opinion of the GoBalance Sport

This was a really fun and different way of exercising. This did exactly what I needed to do because I’m a huge fan of anything that makes your body work without acting like it’s a workout.
I may have been overly enthusiastic and inflated the disc a little too much, which made it harder to get used to the motion. The setup couldn’t be simpler either: simply download the GoBalance Sport app to your phone or tablet, fill out your details, and the board will provide you with 12 free games and exercises.
I do wish there was a way to enable it on my smart TV, but I was unable to download the app. I had to use my iPad in front of me to balance on it, which was helpful during the exercises, but it made some of the games a little harder to do. This is definitely something I’ll look into because the app does say you can simply cast your phone screen to a TV.
After a few minutes of playing on one of the games, I immediately noticed the GoBalance Sport was fun and super simple to use. Besides that, I also immediately noticed the workout it was giving my legs and core muscles. The snowboard simulator is my personal favourite, in case you were wondering.
Because it literally takes seconds to set up and allows you to use it for as little or as little time as you like, this is definitely something I can use regularly. For only $99.99, Very sells the GoBalance Sport.
Alternative options
The P2I Balance Board from Mountain Warehouse is a straightforward piece of kit if the technical aspect doesn’t bother you and you just want a straightforward balance board to practice your core strength and stability on. It costs $34.9 and is designed to help you strengthen your muscles while working out.
For a family-friendly version, the Stay Active Level Out Balance Board, £24.99, is another electronic balance board, but with the added bonus of interactive games built into the board. It lists various moves that you must complete on the board in three different play options, similar to Bop It but with a standing stance.
However, you can purchase the GoBalance Sport at Very for $ 99.99.
