Following the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC)’s (FFK) acquittal in a medical forgery case against him, former minister of aviation Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK) has reasserted his relief.
He said, “I thank God for my family and my children. Four criminal cases by the EFCC in the space of the last 18 years has been quite an ordeal for me because it hurt my family, my career, my business, my everything.
” So, today, we got the fourth and final one done. By the grace of God, I can now live my life, face my family, take care of my children properly, my nine children. “
A Special Offences Court in Ikeja, the capital of Lagos State, cleared and discharged Fani-Kayode on suspicion of committing medical forgery earlier on Tuesday.

The former minister’s lawyer, according to Justice Olubunmi Abike-Fadipe, who rendered the ruling in the case against the prosecution for allegedly bringing a prima facie case against him.
The court upheld his attorney’s request for no case-submission from Norrison Quakers (SAN), and determined that Fani-Kayode lacked an answer because the EFCC had not identified him as the offender.
Justice Abike-Fadipe argued in her decision that the prosecution had neglected to turn over the defendant’s attorneys and associates who claimed the defendant had instructed his law firm to take the medical reports to the Federal High Court.
Following his alleged use of forged medical reports, which he had presented to Justice Daniel Osiagor of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, where he was being prosecuted for an alleged N4.9 billion fraud, the EFCC was bringing a 12-count charge against him.
