Holly Willoughby thrills fans as she teases new project after Phillip Schofield’s TV return

Holly Willoughby, the presenter, teased a brand-new television project.

Holly, 43, shared a series of photos on Instagram this week from behind-the-scenes at an undisclosed show. She teased herself about the broadcast and claimed it was a “night of glorious giggles.”

Holly was seen sporting a floral black dress with platform heels and tights in the photos. In one photo, she was seen perched on a radiator, in another, while another showed her standing next to it backstage at the event.

Alongside the photos, she told her followers: “I’ll be here, warming my]peach emoji] on the radiator until you get to see what we filmed. A night of glorious giggles”. The Jimi Hendrix Experience’s Purple Haze soundtrack was used for the post.

Holly’s first Instagram post in more than a month is this. On the platform, Christine Lampard and Angellica Bell, two of the presenters who have shown support for the post, have received more than 14 000 likes.

In the comments section, some fans expressed their excitement for the upcoming project. One person reacted: “Can’t wait”. Someone else wrote: “Can’t wait to see what show you have filmed. On the TV, Miss you. A third fan commented: “Your presence has been missed immeasurably Holly. Good luck with your ongoing endeavors and projects. Whilst another follower said similarly: “Cannot wait to see what you’ve been up to”.

Holly’s first appearance on television since her former presenting partner Phillip Schofield, 62, made his return last month was reported just days after the announcement. She recently took a trip to Florida with her family.

Prior to quitting the show in May of last year, Phillip had previously worked with Holly on shows like This Morning and ITV. His resignation came as he acknowledged having an “unwise but not illegal” relationship with a younger coworker while appearing on This Morning. He apologized for lying about the situation before the time, and he stated in his resignation statement that the “consensual on-off relationship” was “now over.”

He made his TV debut with last month’s broadcast of Channel 5’s Cast Away. Holly is reportedly known as “the witch” in his inner circle amongst his fans, and Phillip is alleged to have made several references to her on the series after he left This Morning. Addressing his departure last year, Holly had asked This Morning viewers in a speech: “Firstly, are you OK”? Phillip appeared to take a swipe at her in a scene from Cast Away, telling his family at a BBQ: “If you’re okay, then we’re okay and I’m okay. Are you okay”?
