Helen Flanagan sends fans wild as she teases a return to Coronation Street

A mysterious post on social media by a former Coronation Street star has sparked rumors about a potential return to the beloved soap.

Helen Flanagan, who has worked as Rosie Webster on the ITV series for more than 20 years, took amaternity leave in 2018 after stepping down. Before taking a break, Holly first appeared in Coronation Street in 2000, where she spent 12 years. In 2017, she briefly spent a second time on the cobbles.

FHelen’s Instagram photo of her early years on Coronation Street was nostalgic. She wrote, “Ah, love this picture I found @coronationstreet with the recognizable Barbara Knox. I was Matilda’s age”. Fans and friends quickly filled the comment section, reminiscing about Helen’s time on the cobbles.

One user commented, “Love this, Helen. At that age, I recall you! Xx”, while another speculated whether the post hinted at her return to the show, writing, “A hint, perhaps”? A third added: “we NEED Rosie &amp, Sophie back especially with Kevin’s upcoming storyline, you girls are such a delight to watch”.

And a fourth wrote: “Awww. Love this picture. I miss you in Coronation Street. I’m currently watching the ITV 3 Classic Episodes. Sally prescribed Rosie the morning after pill after she was caught seeing Craig, as of today. Your acting was amazing. You are such a huge talent. The couple, who had three children together, had been dating for more than ten years. Following their split, Helen spiraled into a “very scary” psychotic episode while on her dream New Year’s break in Bali with their children Matilda, nine, Delilah, six, and Charlie, three.

As she acknowledged “what a year can make,” Helen has made the decision to share photos from the trip. The TV star discussed her financial struggles, mental health issues, and family issues in the open post. “This Christmas, I spent it in bed,” she said. “I spent a few hours there as my dad was calling me.

I told Scott that he could have the kids because we wanted to spend ten days at Bail for the new year. I was therefore aware of my duty to be fair. But it really hit me out of nowhere. I already said to my friends, “It’s just a day, I’ll be fine.” I had bad mental health.

“My love life was a s**t show that year…. I didn’t look after my my mental health or think. I felt so s**t and sad. I now felt like my entire life was screwed up, and I’m blessed with the ideal family. 13 years is a long time to be with someone. My whole 20s. I also experienced a lot of family feuds, and I also lost essentially all of my money. Me and Scott weren’t married we were engaged.

My mental health was so bad that I feared that my children would benefit more from having their dad because he has better judgment than I do. Although words can’t express how much I love my kids, you can’t say that. Helen, who was with her children at her parents’ house, shared an update from this Christmas.

Helen experienced a “bad reaction” to her ADHD medication this past year, which led to a psychosis episode. Helen claimed in an interview with The Mirror that she had been diagnosed with psychosis and that she had experienced unresolved trauma from her split from Scott in 2022. Helen said:” I don’t see it as a break-up, I see it as a divorce. We were together 13 years. But I threw myself into work and turned off my emotions in order to process it all. I just switched to “survival mode.” Then, in the spring of this year, it all started to appear, and I was mentally and physically depressed. It was incredibly terrifying and depressing. I was seeing things, and I constantly felt threatened.
