Harry Styles was spotted passionately kissing his co-star Emma Corrin as they filmed new movie, My Policeman in Worthing on Monday.
The One Direction star portrays gay police officer Tom Burgess in the LGBT drama while Emma, 25, will play his on-screen teacher wife Marion.
On Tuesday, Harry, who is set to reportedly film gay sex scenes with Tom in the movie, donned a police uniform as he shot an outdoor scene alongside his on-screen lover David Dawson in Brighton.
Set in Brighton in the 1950s, the film is based on Bethan Roberts’ novel and focuses on police officer Tom, who is gay, but married to Marion due to expectations. He goes on to have an affair with museum curator Patrick Hazelwood (David).
Harry and David filmed a scene where their characters introduce themselves to each other as they were spotted shaking hands.
The singer sported a dark navy policeman uniform complete with a blazer and matching trousers and a light blue shirt.
Harry also sported a dark hat as he filmed the outdoor scene with several members of the crew visible in the background.
David sported clothing typical of the film’s 1950s setting as he donned a dark brown jacket along with a mustard turtle neck top.
The actor, who has previously starred in Luther, Ripper Street and Year of the Rabbit, wore a pair of grey trousers and brown boots.
At one point during the shoot, Harry and David could be seen in character both leaning against a wall wearing sombre expressions.
The shoot took place outside a pub, with a ‘Regency Tavern’ sign visible on the side of one of the building the pair stood in front of.
Meanwhile, Harry and Emma appeared to be shooting a tense-looking scene where the actor held his co-star in his arms on Monday evening.
Pictured leaving a pub, called The Vine, the singer was seen sharing an on-screen kiss with the actress before they walked off arm-in-arm.
Harry looked dapper in his period costume which consisted of high-waisted grey trousers, a matching jacket and olive green shirt.
Emma wore a vintage brown tweed tailored dress with a white shirt underneath and blue teal coat.
The actress finished the look with a matching belt to cinch in her svelte waist and black heels.
Emma, who has cropped blonde hair, appeared to be wearing a shoulder-length brown wig for the scenes which also had a fringe.
It comes after film bosses reportedly shelled out on a ‘massive security unit’ in anticipation of the filming on Brighton’s seafront.
Producers are said to have beefed up security so filming could go ahead ‘without a hitch’, despite expecting crowds to flock to the set to get a glimpse of Harry in character.
A film insider told The Sun: ‘Harry always commands security because he’s such a superstar, but this is going to be on another level.
‘They know that his and the rest of the cast’s safety is paramount so that needs to be taken into account, but on top of that they will need to be able to shoot the scenes in peace and quiet, without a load of fans in the background.
‘So they are really shelling out for a massive security unit to ensure filming can go ahead without a hitch.’
MailOnline contacted Harry’s representatives for comment at the time.
It comes after it was reported Harry will film sex scenes with co-star David Dawson in the upcoming LGBT romantic drama.
An insider said: ‘Harry will be having sex on screen and they want it to look as real as possible. The plan is to shoot two romps between Harry and David, then another scene where Harry is naked on his own.’
Production on the film has kicked off in Brighton, and it is currently unclear when the film will be released.
A source added to The Sun: ‘Not much is going to be left to the imagination. Harry is throwing himself into this new role and is really excited about the challenge, even though it’s a daunting task.
‘He always wants to do things that people wouldn’t expect and challenge what people think about him — and this film will really do that.’
A spokesperson for Harry declined to comment when approached by MailOnline. MailOnline also contacted a representative for David at the time.
Baz Bamigboye revealed in The Daily Mail earlier this year that The Last Kingdom star David would portray the lover of Harry’s character.
Rupert Everett will appear as the older version of Patrick in the film, while the former One Direction artist will be replaced by Linus Roache for scenes set years after their affair began, while Golden Globe winner Emma’s character will be taken over by Gina McKee later in the film.
Set in Brighton in the 1950s, the film sees Tom embark on an affair with Patrick after the latter falls in love at first sight when they meet at Brighton Museum.
Tom’s spouse becomes jealous when she discovers their passionate relationship, and decides to take drastic action during a time when homosexuality was illegal.
The 2012 novel explores the sexual mores of the 1950s and the criminalisation of homosexuality.
The Amazon Studios production is being directed by Michael Grandage, and it will shoot from April 12 on locations in London and the South-East coast, while the more intimate moments will be filmed at one of the big film studios.
The film will be adapted by Oscar-nominee Ron Nyswaner, and Amazon will be working with Berlanti Schechter Productions.
Harry is currently in a relationship with American actress Olivia Wilde, 37, and has previously dated celebrities such as Kendall Jenner, 25, Taylor Swift, 31, and Kiko Mizuhara, 30.
The hunk previously insisted he is not using ‘sexual ambiguity to try and be more interesting’ but demands fans respect his refusal to discuss his sexuality.
Speaking to The Guardian’s Weekend Magazine, the hitmaker revealed that while he doesn’t mind being asked about his sexuality, he has no plans to definitively provide an answer.
He explained: ‘What I would say, about the whole being-asked-about-my-sexuality thing – this is a job where you might get asked. And to complain about it, to say you hate it, and still do the job, that’s just silly.
‘You respect that someone’s gonna ask. And you hope that they respect they might not get an answer.
‘It’s not like I’m sitting on an answer, and protecting it, and holding it back. It’s not a case of: I’m not telling you cos I don’t want to tell you. It’s not: ooh this is mine and it’s not yours. It’s: who cares? Does that make sense? It’s just: who cares?’
It comes after Emma appeared to come out as ‘queer’ last month when she took to Instagram to share an image from her shoot for Pop magazine, and wrote the caption: ‘ur fave queer bride.’
Emma has kept tight-lipped on any talk surrounding her sexuality and dating life.
MailOnline contacted Emma’s representatives for comment at the time.
Emma soared into the spotlight last year with her breakout role as Princess Diana in Netflix’s The Crown.
The British star plays the late Royal in the fourth series of the drama, in a role which has won her widespread critical acclaim.
