Following rumors of “chaos” developing behind the scenes, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle flew to Canada to save the Invictus Games.

The Duke of Sussex’s Invictus Games were reportedly in disarray last week, according to reports. More than a year prior to the subsequent event, two senior executives were allegedly “dismissed for no apparent reason.”

The couple watched the Vancouver Canucks defeat the San Jose Sharks 3–1 in an NHL ice hockey game last night from a VIP box at the Rogers Arena. They retired as senior Royal Family members in 2020. Despite the alleged chaos in the background, the couple promoted the following Invictus Games while they were playing.

Employee morale was “at an all-time low” when CEO Peter Lawless, a lawyer and arguably Canada’s most esteemed Olympic and Paralympic administrator, abruptly left his job last week, according to the MailOnline. Lawless was “transitioned out” and “no longer an employee,” according to a Games spokesperson, who urged him to continue serving as an ambassador.

Former Chief Commercial Officer Bill Cooper, who left in October, is also reportedly leaving the team. After receiving praise from colleagues and accusations that the prestigious Games had erred by firing him, he was said to have thanked them for their assistance.

It was also claimed that some employees were “concerned that these recent actions will once more overshadow this incredible event for our veterans.”

The Sussexes appeared incredibly content as they sat next to one another and watched the NHL game last night in Canada, despite the brewing “chaos.” Additionally, they could be seen getting up to applaud.

The couple, who are in Canada to promote the upcoming Invictus Games—which will take place in Vancouver and Whistler in February 2025—seemed eager to demonstrate their support for winter sports.

The Sussexes’ most recent appearance follows Meghan’s unexpected appearance at the Variety Power Of Women event in Los Angeles last Thursday. The Suits actress attended the glitzy occasion to honor women in the entertainment industry.

Meghan attended the event and posed for pictures on the red carpet while wearing a beige gown. The Duchess teased some intriguing projects she and Harry have been working on while they were both sitting on the red carpet. I can’t wait to announce the exciting things we have planned, but I’m just incredibly proud of what we’re producing. She gushed, “My husband is also loving it, which is really fun.
