Gypsy Rose Blanchard, a media personality, has welcomed her first child and kicked off the new year with heart-pounding news.
Gypsy has joyously welcomed a baby girl, named Aurora Raina Urker, with her partner Ken Urker, it has been revealed. Just three days after Christmas and a year after her release from prison, the bundle of joy was born on December 28. Aurora is healthy and our family is so happy, cherished father Ken reportedly told TMZ.
The couple noted the unexpected fact that Gypsy’s birth occurred exactly one year after her release from prison. Gypsy, now aged 33, served eight years for her role in her mother Dee Dee Blanchard’s killing. The pair are eager to get over their previous problems and start fresh with their small family, despite the unusual timing.
Gypsy expressed her gratitude to People at a December baby shower at LARC’s Acadian Village in Lafayette. “Our community welcomed and embraced her with love,” she said. She will receive all the happiness a child should experience.

In a YouTube video from July, the subject of the documentary turned social media sensation first revealed that her baby is due in January 2025. She acknowledged that the pregnancy “was not planned at all” but that she and her boyfriend, Ken, are “both very excited to take on this new journey of parenthood.”
In an Instagram video that revealed their pregnancy, the couple previously piqued the interest of the audience. Gypsy Rose gushed in the post: “The moment y’all have been waiting for… It’s a girl! We’re so excited to start our family, and Ken and I are over the moon. We’re so thankful for our friends, neighbors, and families who came to our party today! We also want to thank ya’ll for your love and support”!
Gypsy and her ex-husband Ryan Anderson have now legally ended their two-year marriage. Following months of legal wrangling in divorce court, their divorce was finally settled on December 10 just before Gypsy gave birth to her child. The divorce settlement was uncontested, with Ryan’s lawyer stating that the pair had been living separately for months. No spousal support will be provided for Gypsy Rose or Ryan.
