Gregg Wallace’s new project revealed after MasterChef exit amid misconduct claims
Gregg Wallace has launched a new project following his MasterChef exit.
The 60-year-old presenter left his long-running role on the hit cooking programme following allegations of sexual misconduct on set – claims he continues to deny.
However, he now looks to be making a comeback in a different field after launching a new range of “healthy” frozen microwave meals. Wallace shared news of the product release via his health and fitness firm who advertised the line of products costing £8 a dish. His announcement comes after he had previously revealed he had been taking advantage of having “some time at home”.
Speaking of the move in November, Wallace wrote: “I have been working for quite a while now on frozen ready meals from the GreggWallace. health range of recipes… Let’s see how we get on. I have managed to have some time at home and did some cooking. It’s a habit I want to get back in to – cooking for the family once a week is something that I really enjoy.
He continued: “All our meals are frozen and shipped via DPD AM Delivery Service. They will arrive frozen or within the correct temperatures to transfer straight into your freezer unless otherwise stated in product descriptions. “
It comes as Wallace remains under investigation for the claims made against him. A number of complaints were made against him after it was revealed in November that historical misconduct allegations are being reviewed by the show’s production company, Banijay UK. The presenter is “committed to fully cooperating throughout the process” during the BBC’s investigation process, a statement from the show’s production company said.
In a statement shared by the BBC in November, Wallace’s legal team has said: “It is entirely false that he engages in behaviour of a sexually harassing nature. “
Wallace was replaced on MasterChef by Grace Dent. She previously said of her new position: “I am absolutely over the moon. Honestly, I’m already drunk on power. “
Speaking to This Morning, she added: “It’s one of the most wonderful shows on British TV and, when you go out into the public, you feel that warmth. You can’t eat anywhere in privacy ever again.
“You can’t even go into a supermarket without people looking in your trolley saying ‘I can’t believe she’s bought that’. So it is lovely. It was a dream come true to move to this role, and it’s a very different role, because now I’ve got a lot.
