Gogglebox star rushed to hospital in ‘immense pain’ after fracturing spine
After fracturing her spine in a horrifying accident, the Australian version of Gogglebox star has been suffering “immense pain.”
Isabelle Silbery participates in Channel 4’s smash hit program in Australia, where she shares her thoughts, observations, and observations along with some insight into her personal life. The reality star appears on the show alongside her infant daughter, Ruby, and her mum, Kerry.
Recently, Isabelle enjoyed a luxury trip to the exotic paradise island of Fiji alongside her husband, Alex Richards. The couple went horseback riding on the remote Turtle Island island while visiting the island, which is located in the South Pacific Ocean.
However, when the pair were out and about, the Gogglebox expert was seriously hurt and thrown from her horse. She was miles away from the ambulance and was ultimately taken to a hospital where doctors performed tests to determine the extent of the mother’s injuries.
Isabelle took to social media over the weekend to share her devastating account of her accident and the agonizing wait for medical treatment. She shared a number of images on Instagram and wrote, “Turns out being on a remote island is bloody frightening when you have a horse riding accident, are in immense pain, and don’t know how serious things are”!
She continued, “I was carried by local Fijians on a stretcher 2 km up a hill in the dark, onto a boat, and to my hut,” adding that “a medical evacuation helicopter was only available during daylight hours.” In the scorching heat, they were all barefoot, holding my hand, and reassured me that everything would go okay.
They made sure I didn’t need anything by putting me on the beachfront outside the hut, even having a doctor on call to help me get through the night. Isabelle was depicted in “images and video clips,” and further images show her surrounded by people who cared for her.
She continued:” These people were absolute angels. Not to mention my husband, who assisted me in getting into a glass, a kind of commitment that wasn’t made in our vows.
“I was taken to the mainland for scans that revealed a fractured spine.” My life could have changed drastically if I had taken one step in either direction. The reality ace is currently recovering from the collision at her Melbourne home.
She issued a warning to others as she wrapped up her tale, saying: “I’m home safely with a very large bill so a PSA to check your travel insurance as ours conveniently didn’t cover most activities you would do on a holiday, including kayaking, snorkeling, bike riding and of course… horse riding”.
Fans responded quickly with messages of support for the star and wished her a quick and painless recovery. One wrote: “sending love … the fijian people are angels”. And another typed: “Izzzzzzz. Im so glad you’re ok. My god what a fright”.
