Gloucester-Hartpury beat Loughborough to go top
Gloucester-Hartpury moved top of the Premiership Women’s Rugby table with a 36-19 win against Loughborough Lightning, as Saracens thrashed Leicester Tigers 100-0.
Sisilia Tuipulotu’s try gave Gloucester-Hartpury the lead before Bulou Mataitoga went over to level the match.
Tries from Mia Venner and Lucy Simpson helped give Gloucester-Hartpury a 19-5 lead at half-time and team-mate Lleucu George also touched down after the break.
Before Mataitoga and George each scored their second tries of the match, Mackenzie Carson crossed for the home side after an Alev Kelter try for the visitors made it 24-12.
Leanne Infante scored a try for Saracens before they went on to overpower their rivals in just four minutes as they took the lead against Leicester Tigers.
Isla Alejandro, Emma Hardy, and Marlie Packer each went over twice while Sophie Bridger and Zoe Harrison each scored three tries.
