Jet, the star’s estranged wife, refutes claims made by the star during their ugly split.
Jet, who is actually Diane Youdale, met Zoe Gilbert in a Tesco store in 2022, and they got married in July 2023. However, just months on from walking down the aisle, they have separated. Diane attributes the break to Zoe’s persistent jealousy of her past relationships, which she felt weakened by.
And earlier this week, Diane, 54, claimed she had broken up with her wife and had attacked her because of the alcohol abuse she claims she had experienced during their difficult union at the time. The Gladiators star’s ex-wife has now said she is “sickened” by the allegations made by Diane and says she felt “baited” by the TV star.
As she attempted to explain her side of the story, Gladiator star Diane’s explosive confessions were met with resistance from Zoe, 50. After their split, Zoe claimed there is no way the two could remain friends. She also refuted claims that she was possessive or jealous.
Zoe claimed that my jealousy caused the marriage to end, and that what Diane said about me hurt. Before I learned the truth, I wasn’t jealous, but I had to see it in black and white in the newspapers.
She added that by making the claims she made in an explosive interview earlier this week, she claims that she believes the former Gladiators star “wants to bring me down.”
Zoe had previously claimed that she initially believed she was the TV star’s first female lover. After Diane claimed in an interview that Zoe was her first female partner, Diane responded.
However, it was later revealed that this was not the case when a former pal spoke about their previous romantic relationship shortly after Diane and Zoe’s wedding. When Jet’s friend Sonia Strong claimed she and Jet had been in a same-sex relationship for seven years and that she had later dated another friend called Lisa, Zoe’s suspicions became even more strong.
Following Diane’s claims, former Miss England contestant Sonia said in an interview in 2023, “I was supposedly with her first ever woman. I couldn’t decide between laughing or crying.” According to her description, it appeared as though she had encountered lesbianism in Tesco’s cereal aisle. She continued, “But we were in a relationship from 2012 to 2019; therefore, how this latest woman can be her first is beyond me.”
Zoe refuted the claim that Jet has had a crush on her ex-boyfriends, saying that any such claims about Jet’s past romantic relationships are nonsense. They are her exes but I’m in contact, they are friends”. She continued, adding that she has spoken to Diane’s former lovers “everyday” and that Sonia and Lisa have been there for her since her marriage broke up.
