More and more brands are incorporating retinal, a form of vitamin A, into their formulas for maximum results, including this new two-in-one face cream, which is currently popular. It is typically more effective and less irritating than retinol.

Facetheory’s Retinal Supreme MultiCream 0.05% combines retinaldehyde (aka retinal) with granactive retinoid vitamin C, niacinamide and hyaluronic acid into a multi-purpose fade cream designed to target various signs of ageing, including fine lines, lack of radiance and loss of firmness.

It costs £39, and as a dual product, you could save money by purchasing both of these. By purchasing regular orders, customers can also save 10% and receive free delivery.

Customers are undoubtedly impressed with the results that this MultiCream produces, despite being relatively new, and some have already noticed a difference in a few days.

“This is a fantastic product. On the Facetheory website, a customer commented, “I only used it for a few days, but I noticed a change in the texture and appearance of my skin.” A single application is all that is required because “everything I would normally use is combined into one bottle.” I’ll undoubtedly order something again.

“Unreal product. Noticed a difference within days”, another agreed. My skin appears much more youthful and peachy. Really pleased and will keep doing it.

A third praised her gentle it is, too, calling it “super gentle but still incredibly effective.” I started using this around a month ago every other night. My skin looks the best it has ever looked and I have no complaints. It really helped to smoothen my skin and reduce post-spot blemishes. I’m really pleased with this product”.

One shopper, however, wasn’t so convinced by this new formula, writing, “Unfortunately I don’t like some of the new products since the company has had a revamp. I’ll be able to purchase a fantastic cream, which appears to be a serum. Overall, I wasn’t as fan as I was.

If you too prefer your vitamin A in a richer, thicker formula, you might prefer Facetheory’s Retinol Firming Moisturiser 0.2%, £16, or Olay Retinol 24 Night Cream, currently down from £38 to £15.44.

Our head of shopping Zoe, meanwhile, has raved about the results of Kate Somerville’s Mega-A Skin Transforming Serum, £72, for quite literally transforming her skin.
