GB bobsleigh’s Gulliver provisionally suspended

Arran Gulliver, a bobsleigh competitor in Great Britain, has received a temporary suspension for a doping test.
During an out-of-competition test on March 2nd, the 27-year-old reported an “adverse analytical finding” for the banned substance ostarine to the International Testing Agency (ITA).
Ostarine is said to increase performance by “providing lean muscle growth and improving strength,” as well as having similar effects to testosterone, according to the ITA.
Gulliver can request that his B sample be tested in order to avoid a four-year suspension.
The ITA stated in a statement that the case will be regarded as a confirmed anti-doping rule violation if the B sample analysis is requested and confirms the results of the A sample.
The case will proceed as a confirmed anti-doping rule violation if the B sample analysis is not requested. The athlete will be able to explain the outcome in detail.
Gulliver has won 12 World Cup medals in the British sled and has twice won two World Championship medals in the four-man bobsleigh.
The International Testing Agency (ITA) has informed the British Bobsleigh and Skeleton Association (BBSA) that bobsleigh competitor Arran Gulliver has returned a negative analytical finding for SARMS enobosarm (ostarine), and that as a result a mandatory provisional suspension has been placed on hold.
The BBSA supports the ITA and other anti-doping organizations in ensuring the preservation of our sport’s integrity. “The BBSA is committed to eradicating doping from sport.
