G-Eazy is ‘arrested for assault after a fist fight with two men over a private VIP room’ inside the Boom Boom Room club in New York City
G-Eazy was reportedly arrested on Monday for an assault incident that took place in New York City on Friday.
The singer, 32, allegedly got into a fist fight with two other men over a VIP section inside the exclusive Boom Boom Room at the Standard, Highline hotel located in the trendy Meatpacking District of the city.
When the star showed up to the red carpet of the MTV VMAs on Sunday evening, there was no sign he had been in an altercation as he did not have any bruises on his face.
According to the New York Daily News he went to the club on Friday at 12:40 am.
He went to a VIP section of the Boom Boom Room but it was not his; it had been set aside for a private Lacoste clothing company party, the police told NYDN.
The performer was asked to move out of the Lacoste VIP room but G-Eazy allegedly did not want to, and an argument took place.
The site added that a full on bar brawl broke out to the shock of others.
G-Eazy and his entourage allegedly ‘attacked the partygoer, punching and kicking him to the ground,’ the site said.
The fight spilled out onto the NYV sidewalk where there was more violence.
G-Eazy then reportedly ‘punched a 32-year-old man in the face,’ the site shared after speaking with the police.
Neither G nor the other man went to the hospital for their injuries.
The men who fought with the ex of Halsey told police that they had been attacked by G-Eazy.
On Monday police took G into custody Monday ‘without incident,’ the site added.
He now has a desk appearance ticket to appear in Manhattan Criminal Court on October 1.
G-Eazy was last seen in public on Sunday at the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards at Barclays Center in the Brooklyn borough of New York City.
He did not seem to have any marks on his face from a fight.
In May he had dinner with his ex Ashley Benson. While the former couple appeared close, an Entertainment Tonight insider has said that there is ‘nothing left between him and Ashley romantically speaking.’
They co-starred in an upcoming slasher movie called 18 & Over which ‘finished filming a long time ago,’ but which they still have to plug.
