Fubara Denies Links With Militants, Warns Against Fake Social Media Posts
Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Suspended Rivers State, has refuted claims that he is a member of militant groups and has refuted recent social media posts and videos as fabricated and malicious attempts to stir up conflict in the state.
The Fubara condemned the distribution of fabricated videos that allegedly show explosions at state-owned oil and gas stations in a statement issued by Nelson Chukwudi, his chief press secretary.
The statement made it clear that the claims have been proven by the affected communities, guaranteeing that all necessary infrastructure is still operational and up to par.
Governor Siminalayi Fubara, according to the statement, “has no connection to any militant group, does not contemplate any such association, and has no reason to encourage any criminal elements to carry out deeds that threaten peace, security, or the economy,” to the contrary.

Fubara reiterated his commitment to keeping the peace in Rivers State by reiterating the idea that stable environments are the only place where governance and development can flourish.
He also warned against attempting to use fabricated information to exacerbate the state’s ongoing political crisis.
Fubara further urged bloggers and social media influencers to refrain from spreading false information, warning that their actions could lead to conflict and instability.
