Four Dead, 13 Injured In Niger State Autocrash

Four people died and 13 others were hurt in a tragic road accident along the Agaie-Lapai Road in Niger State.
The fatal crash, which occurred near Al’Farma International School in Agaie Local Government Area, involved a head-on collision of three trailer trucks, one of which was transporting livestock.
The accident was caused by a mistaken overtaking, according to the director general of the Niger State Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA), Abdullahi Baba-Arah.
Two people died instantly at the scene from the collision’s devastating impact, while the others later succumbed to their injuries in a hospital.

In addition to the human casualties, the crash also led to the deaths of about 15 cattle and more than 20 goats. The injured victims were quickly transported to Agaie General Hospital for treatment.
Emergency response teams, including NSEMA’s Agaie desk officer and local volunteers, promptly arrived at the scene to conduct rescue operations. Their prompt action allowed the hospital to take the injured and remove the wreckage from the road.
