FG Probes Kogi Jailbreak, Vows To Capture Fleeing Inmates
The Koton Karfe Correctional Centre in Kogi State has received the federal government’s request for an immediate investigation into the incident.
Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the interior minister, allegedly gave the directive on Monday, according to his aide, Babatunde Alao.
The minister praised the incident as unfortunate and pledged to capture all fugitives.

The minister claimed that his men would use biometrics and advanced technology to capture the fugitives.
Additionally, Tunji-Ojo directed Sylvester Ndidi, the acting acting controller general of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), to visit the facility in Kogi to assess the situation and launch a comprehensive audit to unravel the circumstances that caused the incident.
