FG Approves Four Airlines For 2025 Hajj Operations
Four airlines have been chosen as the federal government’s official air carriers for the 2025 Hajj pilgrims.
The four airlines were chosen out of the 11 companies that submitted applications for transporting Nigerian pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for Muslim pilgrimage, according to a statement from Prof. Abdullahi Usman, the Executive Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
According to Usman, the four approved airlines are Air Peace Ltd., Fly-Nas, a Saudi Arabia-designated airline, Max Air, and UMZA Aviation Services Ltd.
A team of 32 people that were the NAHCON’s inaugural on November 26, 2024, selected the airlines, he claimed.
According to Usman, the Aviation Screening Committee’s members included representatives from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), three from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), and three from the State Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards.

He added that some of the committee’s members were members of the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB), Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET), and Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA).
Similarly, Prof. Usman said that one member each was drawn from the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) and Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC).
Others, he listed, were NAHCON Board members representing each geo-political zone of the country, NAHCON Heads of Aviation, Procurement, Legal, Internal Audit, and Special Duties as well as Board Members representing the Aviation industry.
The boss of NAHCON also made it known that the hajj operations were being conducted using three extra cargo carriers.
Aglow Aviation Support Services Ltd, Cargozeal Technology Ltd, and Qualla Investment Ltd. were among their names.
He praised the successful businesses and urged them to fulfill their obligations as promised during the screening.
Meanwhile, Prof. Usman signed the 2025 Hajj Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah on behalf of the Nigerian Government.
