Fearne Cotton ‘wiped out’ as she shares update after surgery to remove tumours

Fans have received a follow-up update from Fearne Cotton following the removal of two tumours.

Fearne, 43, a podcast host and TV presenter, announced last week that she would have two benign tumors removed from her jaw, just as her fellow broadcaster Davina McCall had previously publicly shared a similar health ordeal.

The actress shared a message to her social media followers on Instagram that she is recovering well and is continuing to enjoy life. Fearne gave the camera a thumbs up for her photo of herself relaxing on her couch in her pyjamas. Alongside the photo, she penned: “Resting at home. Feeling somewhat wiped out but recovering.

“Professor O’Flynn did the neatest job possible, and he was simply amazing at keeping me at ease throughout the entire process.” Any good TV recommendations, the actress said as she revealed that she would pass her recovery time watching binge TV.

Fearne mentioned her “bloody good mate” Davina when she revealed this week’s news about her surgery. Just weeks before Fearne found her own tumors, Davina recently underwent a six-hour operation to remove a benign brain tumor.

Fearne announced her operation to her followers in a video that was posted to her Instagram account: “I have a benign tumor just below my ear, and another little tiny one above it. I’m very grateful they’re benign but they do need to come out because they’re on a nerve.

“So I’m gonna have that surgery, and then I’m gonna be resting to get better before Christmas. Not very good at resting, so wondering how that’s gonna go. But I’m still accepting it. I’m feeling well and well going into the procedure. She also said her podcast, Happy Place, will “carry on as normal”.

Fearne captioned the video: “Hey gang. Due to a surgery, I’ll be temporarily out of action. A lump under my ear on my jawline was present a while ago, but I later realized it was expanding. It turns out to be a benign tumor with a small one above it on the saliva gland. I’m feeling optimistic about everything, and I’ll take a moment to reflect and take a break.
