The £60 dress is having a moment this week because it turns out the Big Brother star works for a celeb-loved company. Alison Hammond, the star of Great British Bake Off, was spotted wearing the pastel dress during the most recent episode of the show, as Twitter/X users were quick to point out.
“OMG! Big Brother needs to inform Martha that Alison Hammond is “wearing her dress”! shared @superTV247 in a viral post. “Someone was wearing it earlier than usual,” said one witness! a commenter added. Another praise was given, “Because Twisted Wunder are a brilliant size-inclusive brand that allows us big girls to wear fun, vibrant, and well-fitting outfits.”
The Simply Be the Twisted Wunder Ziggy Star Maxi Dress is available in 10-28-inch sizes and costs just £60. If Alison’s Instagram comments are anything to go by, the pastel dress is currently on sale for £48.30, and you can expect to see a lot more of it.
Reacting to her Bread Week post, a fan replied: “Love the dress… where’s it from”? A second said: “That’s what I came to find out, I love it too”. “Your dress for bread week was absolutely amazing”, a third added. Someone penned: “Dopamine dressing for the win”.
Online shoppers praised the fit and fabric of the Twisted Wunder Ziggy Star dress, which also impressed customers. “The fabric is lovely, the colours and pattern are dopamine dressing at their best, and it even has pockets”, wrote one impressed reviewer. Another said: “Gorgeous pattern, flattering style. I wear it and get so many compliments.
However, some suggested the sizing could be improved. “Lovely dress but comes up small for curvy girls need 2 sizes bigger”, a shopper noted. The second woman remarked, “This dress is absolutely amazing. The material is so silky. The print is even better. I thought it was a good idea because I ordered this in a 24 so I could have more room. I suggest experimenting with both your regular and a size up.
Elsewhere, fans of dopamine dressing might like Pretty Little Thing’s Plus Multi Printed Plisse Maxi Dress. The colorful showstopper is just as vibrant, despite the cowl neck dress’s slightly different silhouette. It’s currently on sale for £16.80, with sizes ranging from 16-30.
