Eniola Bolaji Wins Gold Again, Sets African Record In Spain 2025
Eniola Bolaji, the second-ranked player in the world, has established herself as the leader of para-badminton SL3 with the award of her second medal.
In the women’s final of the Spanish Para-Badminton International 2025 in Toledo, Spain on Sunday, the Paralympic bronze medalist defeated Turkey’s Halime Yildiz 2-0 (21-7, 21-10).
In the second round, Bolaji defeated India’s Sanjana Kumari 2-0 (21-15, 21-8) before going on to defeat Turkey’s Halime Yildiz 2-0 (21-9, 21-12).
In the semifinal, the multiple African champion defeated Oksana Kozyba of Ukraine 2-0 (21-16, 21-4) before the winner.
Eniola Bolaji’s resilience and ongoing record-breaking achievements in para-badminton were praised by Francis Orbih, the president of the Badminton Federation of Nigeria, in a lullaby.

He praised her accomplishments as the only African player to have won 12 gold medals overall.
