England beat South Africa to win Nations Cup

With a 61-55 victory over South Africa in the final, England won the Netball Nations Cup for the first time.
Since the Roses’ season began in 2012, they have reached the final five times, but they have never won.
In the round-robin matchup a week prior, South Africa defeated England 61-59.
At a raucous Copper Box Arena in London, England rallied to win the match 15-12.
Funmi Fadoju, Roses’ goal defense player, won the player of the match award after deflections, interceptions, and gains.
Due to suspensions, the Proteas reduced their lineup to six players in the third quarter, but they still managed to put pressure on England and were three points clear in the final fifteen minutes.
However, even when the Proteas returned to full strength, England’s calm and controlled play enabled them to extend their lead and dampen any hopes of a South Africa fightback.
