Elvis Presley’s ex Linda Thompson shares sweet throwback snaps of star and Lisa Marie
This week saw the publication of Lisa Marie Presley’s posthumous autobiography, From Here to the Great Unknown, released by her daughter Riley Keough.
Elvis Presley’s only offspring, who tragically passed away last year at the age of 54, provides a heart-breaking narrative of her father’s premature death when she was merely nine years old. The King of Rock and Roll dated Linda Thompson for four and a half years, and they shared a home in Graceland with Lisa Marie and him.
The 74-year-old former King of Rock n Roll flame has recently shared some heartfelt images of the trio from the early seventies on social media. The ex-Miss Tennessee model also expressed admiration for Lisa Marie’s newly published memoir, which speaks fondly of her, reports the Express. Riley Keogh and Lisa Marie Presley are both currently working on their book, From Here to the Great Unknown, which Lindsay captioned her Instagram post. When Lisa Marie’s beloved father tragically passed away, she was only nine years old.
Each treasured memory she can recall about her father becomes even more special because “cognizant memory doesn’t actually start until about four years old.” That Elvis closed his eyes and breathed his last breath knowing that I truly loved him, and that Lisa Marie also felt that assurance in her heart that her and her father’s love was genuine, unwavering, and unconditional means everything to me. The way we make others feel seen, loved and valued for who they are is everything. I appreciate Elvis and Lisa Marie for all those years they shared and loved.
In Lisa Marie’s newly-published posthumous memoir, it was claimed that she’d kept her son’s body on dry ice in a separate part of her house. Riley, who starred in Daisy Jones and the Six, insisted her mother would have just ignored the comments, despite the fact that she had been devastated when Benjamin committed suicide at the age of 27. She told People magazine:” If my mom were here, she’d be like, ‘ Yeah, whatever. I don’t care. If people think that’s crazy, they can go f*** themselves. ‘ In the midst of uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, Rice explained that Lisa Marie made the decision, leaving Benjamin in charge.
She continued, “The truth is that COVID was the target of our discussions,” We needed to get to Graceland, and it was really hard because it was COVID, and we didn’t know who was going to come, so there was a lot of planning that needed to happen. She feared that people might contaminate his body.
