Eidevall appointed San Diego Wave head coach
San Diego Wave’s head coach is Jon Eidevall.
The 41-year-old Swede joins the American club on a three-year deal after resigning as Arsenal boss in October.
Casey Stoney, who was fired in June, will be replaced by Eidevall, who was appointed interim manager of England and Arsenal.
The club was taken over by new ownership group, the Levine Leichtman family, in October.
“I am honoured and proud to be named the head coach of San Diego Wave”, said Eidevall.
“This club has a clear goal for success, both on and off the field,” Leichtman-Levine and Camille Ashton said.
I’m eager to help create a winning legacy in San Diego by promoting the city’s passionate fans and vibrant football culture.
“Together with the players, staff, and supporters, I look forward to achieving great things and making unforgettable memories for this club”.
After winning just one of their first four games of the 2024-25 season, Eidevall resigned from his position at Arsenal, which ranks sixth in the Women’s Super League (WSL).
