EastEnders legend’s daughter looks double of her famous mum as she celebrates her birthday

A “nepo baby” has just celebrated her 20th birthday, with her famous mother, Charlie Brooks, sharing a heartfelt message on social media.

Kiki Truman, an actress known for her roles in The Kennedys (2015) and The Dumping Ground (2013), is the daughter of Charlie, best known for her role as Janine Butcher on EastEnders. While Charlie is getting ready for the new season of Dancing On Ice, Kiki, the only child of the soap star, celebrated her milestone birthday.

Charlie first appeared on EastEnders in 1999 as Janine, left in 2004, and returned for multiple stints, including a significant storyline starting in 2021. Janine’s marriage to Barry Evans ended with her pushing him for his money off a cliff, which was one of her most notorious encounters.

Charlie posted a number of photos of her daughter on Instagram yesterday. She captioned the post: “20 years ago today I birthed this wild thing @kikitruman. I’m so pleased that the frontal lobe is forming. What an adventure. Thank you for choosing me to be ya mamma, and your dad @tonytrumanibiza. We are here to help you out the most, and we are truly in love with you. Happy birthday baby”.

Fans expressed admiration for Kiki’s resemblance to her mother in the comments. One wrote: “That last pic she is the spit of you”! Illustrator Cat Sims quipped: “It’s almost like Tony’s genes didn’t even try! She’s SOOOO like you”. Ferne McCann, who is also competing on this year’s Dancing on Ice alongside Charlie, left a comment saying: “She’s your double Charlie. Happy birthday Kiki”.

Charlie reportedly agreed to appear in Dancing on Ice in September. Charlie, 43, is also known for winning I’m Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! way back in 2012, she will be displaying her ice skates for the ITV celebrity skate dancing program. A source told The Sun: “Charlie’s a brilliant signing. She is extremely popular in EastEnders, has a lot of personality, and is feisty all at once. She may be able to recreate some of her on-screen magic from I’m a Celeb, according to the ITV bookers. Due to all the scandal, many female stars have avoided Strictly this year. They are making the most of it. It’s going to be a belting line-up”.

Charlie last appeared in Albert Square in 2022 despite having a long run on BBC1’s EastEnders. Since then, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang has reportedly been starring in a stage production of the well-known children’s book in London’s West End. The EastEnders legend opened up about her struggle with alcohol earlier in September as she celebrated a significant milestone.

The actress, who frequently reprised her role since her first one-time performance in 1999, is said to have enjoyed the party atmosphere and shared some “brilliant times” with her Instagram followers. However, as she posed for the selfie upload, she added that it “always came at a price” – and now she is alcohol free and has been for four years.

Sharing further with her followers, she continued: “Sometimes I miss that version of my wild.. but my wild still shows up.. just in very different ways. Nothing compares to waking up sober on a Saturday morning or any other morning for that matter. It’s not a straightforward road. She added: “Mornings will forever be my new nights out”.
