Eamonn Holmes slammed for ‘worst interview ever’ as guest refuses to speak to him again

Reality TV star Whitney Thore has criticised GB News host Eamonn Holmes, 65, for his actions in a live interview.

Whitney, 40, spoke to Eamonn on Sky News in 2015, and told the Daily Star this week that she’d never consider speaking to him again. “I haven’t done any UK TV shows in about 10 years, but I would gladly go on any and all of them again—except for]any with] Eamonn Holmes”, she blasted.

“My experience in the UK has always been so lovely, and I love my time here so much,” he said during the worst interview of my entire career.

Whitey, who hosted the interview in question on TLC’s My Big Fat Fabulous Life, said to Eamonn back during the interview that “fat people so frequently offend others in society, and I believe this is one of the most recent socially acceptable prejudices.”

The This Morning alum retorted, “But what about those who care about you? ” Some people worry that you’ll keel over and pass away because your body or heart might not be able to carry all your enthusiasm, I mean.

Whitney responded by making repeated assertions about prejudice, saying, “I believe that concern for health is frequently used as a mask to treat fat people.” Because I weigh 380 pounds, I’m not naive to the health issues that might arise if I continue to be this weight, so I’d like to break some stereotypes about fat people. But I’ve never even experienced high blood pressure, and I’ve never had any major health issues.”

Eamonn then raised his concerns about Whitney’s health, listing possible problems with her because of her weight, and making it seem as though she looked uneasy. “I have to say, I advocate – I am overweight, I’m constantly lampooned for being overweight, but I do speak to you from concern”, he began.

“You’re doing your ankles no good, your knees no good, your hips no good, your heart probably no good. So I do think there is concern”.

Eamonn then referred to Whitney’s viral dancing videos, and again suggested she needed to drop pounds. “But at least you’re doing something. Are you doing those moves to reduce your weight, or to say, ‘ I may be big, but I can still enjoy myself? ‘”

Eamonn currently uses a wheelchair, but he can use a walker for short periods of time, according to the Express, and has serious mobility issues of his own. He also has back surgery and is currently primarily using a wheelchair. Eamonn described living with an “epidemic of pain” back in January last year and made the possibility that he might never be able to walk unaided once more.

regrettably, his mobility issues prevented him from attending Josie’s funeral in November 2023. At the time, Eamonn shared: “It’s as if somebody up there is playing with my life.

I had a back operation last year that went wrong and left me in a wheelchair. I’ve fallen and broken my shoulder. Honestly, you could not make it up. “
